    SunRoamers well-meant failures

    Hello!
I've only once joined the CHOW until now (and I kind of "collided" with the naming conventions... haha ;( ) and I thought that it was about time that I upload somewhat more on this site So I would be really very happy to receive at least some feedback ^.^ (haha, the only other "artist" community I've been to is dA, and well, I guess you know what that is like ;D)

    About me:
I'm just a regular pupil (17 years old) and I'm still going to school (final exams are in 2 years). I started painting digitally regularily about 1 year ago (maybe 14 months?) and before that I mainly drew traditionally... not with too much passion, though ;P
Apart from art classes in school I'm visiting afternoon classes on Monday (it's convenient since I can use acryl and oils and so on. It would be really painful if I had to pay that myself... I guess then I'd only paint with watercolours ;D) and also, although irregularily, life drawing classes (been there 5 times now, I think?)
For my digital pieces I'm currently using a Wacom Intuos3 (A5) and Corel Painter X (never tried CS and I guess I'll never do )

But well, I guess nobody really wants to know about that, so for the pictures:
Just now I'll only upload 2 recent digital studies: first one is a study of a pair of scissors from just a few days ago and the second one shows a casket ; it's from the beginning of June .

Some sketches from my life drawing classes:
1: 5 minutes per sketch, first drawings of that day :<
2: ~1 minute per sketch, sometimes more, sometimes less (especially at the end).
    3: 8 minutes

And the last picture was a school assignment. We were doing "naturalism" back then and so we had to study different materials and textures and then paint them as realistically as we could.
    Top row:
    1. wood, 2. stone (with some moss or something similar), 3. glass
    Bottom row:
    1. & 2. fur, 3. metal

Thank you very much for the nice comment I'll definitely try and continue doing those studies

Well, for now, something "old" (date back to January this year)... kind of conceptart-like thingy, lots of anatomical issues going on (like, the hunters neck/shoulders), but well, I still kind of like them ^.^ Although the Papuan people doesn't usually wear such costumes... the hunters, for example, usually only got some kind of a "pipe" protecting their genitals, and nothing more Well, it also differs heavily due to the different tribes...

Here are two environment pictures from around 3 months ago or something... both are kind of speedpaints, no ref used for any of them :>

And it's really hot over here (at least for german standards) so right now I can watch animes, at most. But painting is almost impossible, the temperature's getting me really impatient ;(

First was a ~30 minutes thingie that I needed to create a contest-header (Link, it's german, though^^ Well, you can see the header )

The other pic was my part of an art trade with a dA-User (his page), he requested "something with pandas or pandaren"... I thought it would be funny to do a little experiment with the style, so it definitely looks different from what I usually do =)
