Well, the second one has the look of the Sistine Chapel, with the cracked paint texure, and the vertical lines of the hanging vines or moss seem to have an odd highlight on one side and they look semi-transparent, as if they are not quite there. So how much of that is intentional and are you sure you implemented it as effectively as possible? Also, maybe give the lady a little more color, since the background scene has a broader range of color. Maybe she should have more blue or white and not just green light on her. Maybe strengthen the highlights on her suit to give her more contrast and a more 3D look. Some ideas...

These are both pretty amazing pieces. My crit on the second one is as follows.

-I dont know what the ray thing in the top right is and I understand the light and dark change but I dont know where the random rays are coming from.
-The random spots of blue light on her chest seem to be accenting nothing and more like light emiting from random spots.
-There seems to be alot of hard highlights throughout this piece and the only possible light source for them all would be the shooting star thing in the middle....but you have this seemingly huge light source in the top right causing that ray thing (is that part of the texture)

Overall I like the piece a lot. She seems at such peace while war is surrounding her.

    I hope I helped.

First, can I just say that these are great works, and I could only hope one day be this good.

Second, you asked for some input on the second piece, I can only tell you what I notice, so here goes.

Her left shoulder look pulled forword and I would expect to see the arm at the rear to look slightly shorter, but to me it looks longer.

The people on the right with the gun look as if they are small, not in the distance .

Thats it realy, hope it help, some other stuff, but I think it would just be picky, and to be honest I am not even close to this good so ignore me if Im being naive.
