Here's an update on my concept I have alot of work to do still. I need to stop playing video games and need to concentrate.

For what it's worth I ditched my original idea due to lack of any kind of feeling for it and painted something completely different. I don't think it qualifies as a CHOW anymore, but (hopefully) it still fits with the main compo brief.

Posted here anyway, but I guess I'll move it over to the main competition threads when I decide what to do with it next.

mmm..Original interpretation You should fix his clothes - some correct folds would really help. What's that at the background?

Great story to tell! But I've got to say that before I've read it I thought it's some kind of giant baby - you should emphasize the perspective some more

My concept go on Bio mechanic that born from demons//angel flesh & blood.

hey all, been pretty busy for the past few weeks... still : ( but heres something i started for the newborn contest. the idea is based on artists finding their own direction and artistic calling... to drop away all the pretending to be someone else and just being something original and new... thus newborn...

Curly I LOL'd so hard at what you said because you're so right, he WAS smaller initially but I cut it and xformed it bigger for less foreground without thinking about the perspective issues that might cause.

I'm going on vacation tomorrow to the beach and while I'll have internet access I highly doubt I'll be able to finish by Sunday due to all the detail that is demanded by the piece. I'll finish it, sure, but by Sunday? No idea.

Took a little mini vacation this past week, so wasn't able to get any drawing done on this. I was too busy concentrating on doing nothing. Excited to be jumping back on the bandwagon, though. Hopefully will finish in time.

Yes, you are of course allowed to do this. The first deadline is for chow only, you can of course continue to develop it until Newborn's final deadline, but those changes won't go up in the chow poll.

Some concepts for the newborn!.....Im goin cybernetic organism....the once deceased human is bought back to life with the wonderful magic of science!...seeing as I am more a creature designer it was pretty tough to get to this point...so many good creature ideas come out of this newborn theme!...cocoons, alien eggs, parasitic maggot dudes....lovely stuff....but heres me robotic boy...

Torop: Yes, of course. What's not allowed is to take work that was already in your gallery previously and submit it to chow. But anything you make here is yours and you can show it wherever you like. :]
