Nice! Animation's a great way of learning to put some dynamism into poses in paintings, too, so is well worth getting to grips with, even if you want to be an illustrator or painter rather than an animator.very short hand drawn animation.

dcorc - Thanks for the animation feedback, i really enjoyed it and will def. have another shot soon
well i finally have a relatively large update
it seems that i have been the only person on the forums to not have used posemaniacs before, but i discovered it this afternoon and these are my 60 second sketches:
thanks!
more random sketchbook pages....
All I can say is, good going dude.
----------------------------------
Scetchbook: View the exhibitionist's stuff.
i'm looking at 'people at work' for school atm so i did 15 minutes of sketching a friend playing the clarinet.
also we have a drawing of my hand on lined paper, as that was the only drawing surface available in a dulldulldull business studies lesson
thanks for any comments!
You've got weight on the animated figure and that's not always easy. And, you've actually made the posemaniac poses look like sketches of real people - great work. Keep experimenting and tucking away in your mind everything you gain.
You´re very good for 16! Thumbs up!
A book that helped me a lot doing Life Drawing was Anthony Ryders "The Artist´s Complete Guide to Figure Drawing". Check it out!
Keep up the good work! I suggest torrenting Richard Williams The Animators Survival Kit. There is also The Animators Survival Kit animated and I highly suggest that.

Thanks for your replies, guys!
Some more random sketching from my head, nothing particularly impressive....
hey buddy i think you are amazing!!im 16 too but your drawing is better than me:d
figures are realy nice, but in your faces skethces;i think eyes size have problem!![]()
Hey there. You have a great line quality. That hand up there reminds me of the inking style of Kubrick. As for the sketches, you have a good sense of movement and line. One thing I would mention, even (or most especially in gestures) is keep an eye on your proportions. That figure with the arms up is nice, but the arms are too long. Practice helps alot but if you keep practicing the same way, eventually you'll always draw arms the same length and when you draw them in proportion they'll seem wrong.
Nice stuff though. I'll have to keep coming back here to see what you have.
Thanks for your replies guys!
Xlade - thats very nice of you to say, just one thing, who do you mean by kubrick? i googled him and just got the movie director xD
well i need to draw more, not impressed with this post
Sorry. I got the name wrong. Joe Kubert. Teach me to try and remember stuff

He had a very unique quality of linework.
not too pleased with how the scanner picked up that last pencil piece oh wells
little sketches from today, not more than 20 seconds on the smaller ones so very rough
your fast sketches are delicious dude i really liked'em. btw try to focus on following the form of what u working on when u shading, not just fill it. check vilppu's lessons if u didnt yetalso nice animaton
It's always a pleasure to visit your SB.
On that last pencil face, don't smudge - it only ends up looking dirty. And don't knock the looser ones as sometimes they capture more life than careful studies do. The random sketches are great, they show you're thinking even if you think you're not.
Black Spot - Thanks a lot
these next things really arent developed enough to be worth showing imo, but i'd like to keep posting regularly (ish) to keep up the momentum.
So:
-sketch of a friend's hands holding his iphone, literally only about 15 seconds.
-drawing of a dude's head from a business studies video (hmm i seem to be doing far too much drawing in business studies lol) thought about drawing ppl from the tv after looking at weashell's amazing sketchbook
- and finally the beginnings of a study of Toulouse Lautrec's Moulin Rouge poster (i'm doing AS level art so lots of studies being done) looking forward to finishing it so check back!! thanks again for all comments.

mooaar
really good dude... im 16 too...go on working![]()
The Toulouse should suit your looser style, just remember to keep it loose, but not to lose form.
Thanks guys
well, finished the Toulouse Lautrec poster study....couldnt get the colours quite right and some proportion issues make it look a bit too busy, but overall im happy; should make a good school sketchbook page.
hey m8 you are really good and as many other´s are saying you have a good eye for the human body! Keep it up m8 and you'll be working with art in just a few years I tell you! I wish I had started drawing at your age!!
Cheers/ your friend PMB

thanks a lot PaintMyBrain !
well i've benn trying to draw a lot more from my imagination as my sketchbok is mostly drawings from life, so a doodle after flicking through a fashion mag...
and i thought it could be fun to nake a kinda comic, so i just had some quick thoughts about characters![]()
Hey Raffix just wanted to say that I really enjoyed looking through your SB. I think you're doing great and I'm looking forward to seeing more.![]()
Good to see you mixing it up with the imaginative stuff.
I don't think that shirt is going to let her play the triangle very well though.
thanks a lot guys!!
im actually rather pleased with this page. head on the left is from life, right hand one id from a still from the rather awesome movie Red Dawn.
I like working in biro too as it helps to concentrate the mind and you have to get it right. Pretty girl, the one from life - hope she liked it.
ah a fourth page!
mmkay ive been doing lots more work for school so here goes:
- pencil sketch of a friend playing guitar
- watercolour of same guy (might gover over it in pen. thoughts?)
- pen sketch of my hand (another exciting business studies lesson)
- really like this last one, portait of my friend dj-ing made
from layered card.
Well you're certainly better than I was when I was sixteen. I love your lines in your pen ink doodles - that scratchy style could evolve into something really interesting. It's evident you're still beginning, but it's also evident you've been working hard. Keep it up.![]()
