    very short hand drawn animation.
Nice! Animation's a great way of learning to put some dynamism into poses in paintings, too, so is well worth getting to grips with, even if you want to be an illustrator or painter rather than an animator.

i'm looking at 'people at work' for school atm so i did 15 minutes of sketching a friend playing the clarinet.
also we have a drawing of my hand on lined paper, as that was the only drawing surface available in a dulldulldull business studies lesson
    thanks for any comments!

good job boy, try more to render volume, and to have a 3d view.
Do also a lot of stuff from mind, it will help you to know what are your weaknesses
    keep it up

You've got weight on the animated figure and that's not always easy. And, you've actually made the posemaniac poses look like sketches of real people - great work. Keep experimenting and tucking away in your mind everything you gain.

Keep up the good work! I suggest torrenting Richard Williams The Animators Survival Kit. There is also The Animators Survival Kit animated and I highly suggest that.

Hey there. You have a great line quality. That hand up there reminds me of the inking style of Kubrick. As for the sketches, you have a good sense of movement and line. One thing I would mention, even (or most especially in gestures) is keep an eye on your proportions. That figure with the arms up is nice, but the arms are too long. Practice helps alot but if you keep practicing the same way, eventually you'll always draw arms the same length and when you draw them in proportion they'll seem wrong.

Nice stuff though. I'll have to keep coming back here to see what you have.

It's always a pleasure to visit your SB.

On that last pencil face, don't smudge - it only ends up looking dirty. And don't knock the looser ones as sometimes they capture more life than careful studies do. The random sketches are great, they show you're thinking even if you think you're not.

Black Spot - Thanks a lot

these next things really arent developed enough to be worth showing imo, but i'd like to keep posting regularly (ish) to keep up the momentum.
    So:
-sketch of a friend's hands holding his iphone, literally only about 15 seconds.
-drawing of a dude's head from a business studies video (hmm i seem to be doing far too much drawing in business studies lol) thought about drawing ppl from the tv after looking at weashell's amazing sketchbook
    - and finally the beginnings of a study of Toulouse Lautrec's Moulin Rouge poster (i'm doing AS level art so lots of studies being done) looking forward to finishing it so check back!! thanks again for all comments.

The Toulouse should suit your looser style, just remember to keep it loose, but not to lose form.

well, finished the Toulouse Lautrec poster study....couldnt get the colours quite right and some proportion issues make it look a bit too busy, but overall im happy; should make a good school sketchbook page.

Well you're certainly better than I was when I was sixteen. I love your lines in your pen ink doodles - that scratchy style could evolve into something really interesting. It's evident you're still beginning, but it's also evident you've been working hard. Keep it up.
