lolbbq - Thanks for liking my stuff I don't doubt myself. I'm just confused.

    Blargh!!
I feel so "out of the loop" since I moved.
And I'm in an Exam period at the moment too..
And I've been slacking.. Sorry :'(

Well, while I was sleeping tonight, during one of my lucid dreams I told myself to stop slacking and start working, I also thought of a schedule that should work with all the other crap I gotta do.

When I woke up, I got to work right away!
    go go dreaming!

Anyway, 1hour Figure study sheet and a 30-40min Landscape study.
    All from ref, of course.

And a sketch I'm working on back and forth.

p.ps, Kinda sucks TAD only gives scholarships to people who are already above the Professional standard huh? I'd love to go.

samborek - thanks Some clues: Form. What you are drawing is not in 2D, you are trying to imitate 3D on a 2D surface, thus you should think like you are sculpting rather than drawing lines. When you understand form to a certain degree, the line feels irrelevant. You can draw anyway you want and still show the form.

So I decided to skip the blue jumping lady painting because after reworking it over and over, I figured out that it was flawed in every possible way.
I used it however to inspire my new sketch!

    It's so lonely in here.

Drawing hands and feet aren't too big of a deal anymore, however Rendering them is a huge issue. There for the following study.
    And the obligatory anatomy page
My Fingers have started to hurt from pushing too hard on my wacom as well as holding my pen with an iron grip, so I'm trying to loose up in my drawing.
As you can obviously see from the decrease in quality

Your stuff is looking insanely good and it makes me feel like drawing. If your attitude were as good as your drawing skills, you'd go far, my friend.
If I have any advice for your drawing technique, I'd say the edges of some of your figures are a little too crisp, especially the ones in motion - blurring some of the edges may help the figures look less "tacked on". Hope that helps, sorry if it's annoying

    (ps) you smell

    Artofinca- thx!

Pochifux - Oh yes, Edges. Probably the hardest but yet, most fun thing to practice and "master".
I think my attitude is an indirect correspondent to the people and events around me.
I feel much better when I'm on my own and not distracted/influenced by all the negative people around me.

    Two landscapes.
One is a photostudy the other is from head. I think you can pretty obviously see which is what.
About an hour and a half on each.
    I like both though.

Hey Chris, these look sweet, I wouldn't be able to tell which is a photo study... I dunno man, I think you got a good imagination - all those landscapes you did are good, and that character with the fish bowl is awesome. But yeah, maybe you need like a pro to tell you, I wouldn't listen to me I guess lol Keep going anyway mate.

Thanks, Felt good to hear someone is still rooting for me

So, Lifestudy which took like 5 or 6hours to draw. The light has changed SO MUCH since I started that I had to wing almost half of it
Some sketches for This Week's Chow, I entered late so it feels a bit pushed.
Decided to render the second one on the lower row. We'll see how far I get before the deadline tomorrow :/

And some ugly gestures.. trying to draw faster. Didn't go so well

    Wow

How do you get the motivation and inspiration to draw this much? You got to give yourself some more credit man you are really good. I am really inspired by just looking at your drawings. I want to actually draw alot of your work, really good. Keep it up!

[B]Metal Fingers - thanks! I dunno why, but color just gets better without me even thinking about it. It's like the less I think about something the faster I get better at it D:
    p.s Brain for sale, 10bucks.

    jskotte - thanks

Ryanoir - heh, yeah. I think my studies are so far ahead of my personal drawings though.
I'm "studying" drawing my own stuff right now Trying to get some kind of imagination going.

My57 - It's just so hard to find fun stuff to draw D:

midknight523 - thank you good sir.

Joe777k7 - I don't know what to say. I think I lack in both tremendously compared to others around my level.
I don't draw nearly as much as I'd like and as for inspiration, I don't know.
Draw what you want to see, basically. And if people try to tell you to stop, block them.

I am motivated by who I want to be in the near future. And where I want to be.
Whenever I feel unmotivated I visualize myself being where I want to be.
And I make a wish at the same time, something like "I'll be there in 2months!"
Doesn't really matter if I make it or not in 2months, it just matters that I have a clear goal and empowers me.

Look at where you are now, and look at where you want to be in an immediate future, if you think it seems unrealistic, even better. I love having impossible goals, that makes it so much more worth it when you get there

Oh, and you can shove it in peoples faces if they doubted you or tried to make you give up That's a big motivator.

But that doesn't change how lazy and bored I am sometimes.
You just gotta push through. Build discipline day by day, until it becomes a habbit to work hard.

So here are some drawings as of late, trying to do Chow's but I'm failing miserably.
And its amazing how long these things take. A study takes a few hours, but these ugly things take me days This just means I need to do more of them obviously.
