I want to lifedraw martial arts.

I have no trouble at all finding photos to use as a base, albeit it's much harder to find men than women. And yeah, photos. Because I don't have the life-drawing classes oppurtunity yet.

I have relaxed and sexy poses in bulk. I'm looking for strenuous poses. Showing real muscular action. Outstretched limbs and whatnot. Martial arts stuff would be ideal.

Now I'm sure, somewhere on this internet, there's a treasure trove for these pictures, or a close substitute. But hackneyed attempts at Google aren't going to uncover them for me.

    maybe a diffrent sport

alot of martial arts pics dont usually focus on the exposure of muscles, and lots of times are coved up with uniforms. Maybe a trac n field sport where the athletes are usually just in shorts and something tight. or strong guy contests those guys are usually putting out some effort.

If you don't mind them in too much detail, download a couple of videos off youtube and extract all the frames. Martial dance might give you better poses when searching.

Definitely... the sports channels and Tivo (or some other recording method) could be your new best friends. MMA, wrestling, boxing, judo, fencing, heck even pro wrestling are always available to record.

If you have any big chain bookstores near you, look there... and not necessarily in the sports or martial arts sections. For photo reference, a lot of the best sources are those big colorful photo books that are often in the "discount" section around the holidays. Also, children's books (for older children, not picture books) are often good for photo reference. And there's always the library too.

Look up pictures from mma, either the UFC or PRIDE will give you some good stuff. There's plenty of good stuff on Youtube as well.

Here you go, it is basically a never ending resource as MMA is beginning to gain popularity, there are new events constantly. Also there are some smaller shows so you can find multiple body types, women, and extreme lighting.
