Hey, nice studies man....your Bridgman studies are pretty solid. I really like that Inkling form #145! I'd like to see some more ink from you!
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

hey amigo!! thanks for the nice comment in my sketchbook!

first off- you have come a looooong way since page one! i just went through your whole sketchbook, and i cant believe how much better your getting already! great job on all of the studies, keep it up!

i feel like some of the studies you are getting bored with, and dont put as much effort into them, because alot of your other studies are just fantastic. the rendering is high quality, but then again i have the same problem. its my god damn add!! but keep rocking dude, your getting way better!

Hey Alternative. First thanks for the visit and the constructive feedback. It means a lot to me. It's hard to improve without an extra pair of eyes. I'm working on a new pholio with all the improvements. Thanks one more time.

P.S I checked out your sketches. I like them. You do have talent, just try to stage your characters in a more dynamic way (deep foreshorthening, defined camera position above/below horizontal line, etc. Comic books are great for that. Like I said from what I see u got it, just keep drilling.

There's such a lot of improvement going on here! It's very inspiring to watch.

I'd say keep the great anatomy studies coming. And maybe pick up another subject too? Starting with drapery might be a nice addition so you can dress your characters up soon

I have been trying to diving in deeper into art and I have been trying my hardest, I am sorry I dont post the things i do here anymore. I am writing this post so that I can thank all of you and to put a bit of pressure on myself to get off my ass and scan my work.

Lets make this the first post of a new sketchbook. Hi am Alberto and I am necroing this thread :p

Hey guys. I haven't posted in this sketchbook in a WHILE. I have been really busy with school and work is piling up in storage. There is a lot of stuff I want to post here but its going to be a long process.

Meanwhile, these are a few 1-2.5 hour paintings from this semester's Painting 101 class. I haven't painted much before and its been a struggle. I think my foundation in drawing is really carrying over to oils, which is a great surprise, but there is a lot of work left to do.

Sorry for the low quality photos! See you guys later!

great sketchbook you have here man, i can see some serious progress in your ability to portray form an movement, specially in traditional media, keep working hard and you will se major, MAJOR improvement in your art, try and relook in a more analytic matter at your drawings and define what you suck most at and work with that, i can see the knowledge is there all thats left its the mind-eye muscle, good luck!

Thank you guys! I will have more animal studies soon! I get the ref from... Google images xD "Horse" is a nice place to start.

Here are two one sitting figure paintings. The first is done entirely with the palette knife. It was definitely a challenge. I am buying a good camera soon and reposting all of these paintings...

Happy new years to all of CA! I took a break for all the parties and friends. These are the some of the stuff from a new sketchbook I bought a few days ago. Been drawing like a dog. There are more stuff (like tons of freehand lines, boxes, gestures) that I left out. Oh, and my scanner is too small for this freaking sketchbook... so photos..

I have been working nearly exclusively with felt tip and ball point pen. The perspective studies/boxes are all freehand, trying to get better at that. And don't mind my crappy doodles/imagination stuff.

Anyway. sorry for the mess, working on organizing these now.

Nice update mate. Keep it up. The only tip I can offer is switching the direction of the pen stroke, depending on what plane you are on to help give the shadding some pop and prevent flatting out the drawing. Maybe do some planier studys or what ever its called. Good luck
