I know, but you have no idea how close are you
to the truth. Yes I got a LOT of beers for New Year
and the next few days after. I am a pure beer drinker,
I do not drink anything stronger, like whiskey or similar.
But can you imagine, I got ill again just before new Years
eve and I was forced to lay in bed for five or six days.
I just cannot believe it. That is why I was not so active
and I was not able to draw or paint anything. My
immune system is down to zero, I have no idea what
is going on with me. I want to thank you for the
care and for the support all the time. Your friendship

Well, here we are. The year 2012.
I never believed that I will make it this far, but life is full
of surprises. I am happy that this community is still
strong and that its still growing. I see new members each
and every day. Lots of new prospects and people who are
willing to work diligently and with a lot of dedication.
For me this year did not started quite well, cause of
some health problems, so because of that I was not being
able to do anything worthy or creative. This is a mental
test, a test which I have to go through. The whole December,
man it was such a disappointment. Lots of ups and downs,
but much more downs, and that just freaked me out.
But here is a new start, a new year a new beginning, and into
new battles we should venture.
About conceptartorg, what makes me happy is that there
are a lot of newcomers and people who are willing to
exchange their knowledge and opinion, but on the other
hand the thing that shuts me off a bit is that there are
a lot of them gone inactive and left for some reason.
I am subscribed for more than 90 sketchbooks, and I have
to say a lot of them left this community and never came back.
Yes I got a bit fanatic about this place and after spending
more than two years here, I got too much attached to everything here.
May that be good or bad, I am really not sure anymore.
What I did two years ago, is that I stopped playing computer
games, which I did on a regular basis earlier.
I took that time and invested it into drawing, sharing my art
and learning from the others through this community.

If anyone is good at environmenting or can think of some
good stage or scene for the Little Matchstick Girl, I would like to see or hear some
concept ideas. I am going for dark moody Christmas eve streets.
This is what I got so far, the one is a narrow street with a lot of people
still before midnight and the other is a shot on the town center with some
angel statue on it. I had not used any references, and I think that the
details are not so important cause this will be just a mini comic.
If anyone have any good stuff, I would gladly implement it
in the final story.

I really like that angel statue scene though. espec the right one with the snow. the narrow street could be even more claustrofobic. and the -I think it's her- hooded girl in the right somehow doesnt fit there. is she sitting? kneeling? I cant get the angle to work or something. detail shouldnt matter; you're going for good old simplification. keep at it!

Oh, do not worry about the perspective and angle mistakes,
they are just painted in a fast fashion, nothing really correct
there, these environments only serves to tell the story, I am
not going for some hyper realistic mood. The most important
is that the viewer understand the happening and the flow of
the situation. I think that the characters later on will tell much more
about the general story. How was your New years eve? I hope everything

Hey there. Pussy and spoons on the same page,
haha, I am just sparing up paper. I want to use
every inch of the paper in a positive way, I think
it’s just a mental thing. And my mind changes so
fast, in one minute I think about pears and in another
second I think about vaginas. Insane indeed, but nice
that you noticed that. I never registered on facebook
unfortunately. I do not know why, but I do not like
the concept that the whole world is there, just trying
to avoid this mainstream until I can. I downloaded
the Tool Paint Sai and experimented it about 10 minutes.
Looks promising I have to tell you, thank you for sharing.

On that note I would like to say I want to see more anatomy studies/figures studies and anything study related. Lots of stuff from your head mate but you can make your stuff more sexual if you have more information on anatomy in your head.

Hey hey, thanks for comment. I like the flow in sketches, digital is looking good too.
Keep in mind tho that upper arm is longer than lower, even if upper arm recedes to the back, it still looks too small in comparison on your piece.
Theres some texture on pants, cool stuff. Anyways, have fun.

Sorry to hear you've had a bit of a rough start to 2012! I've already injured myself too and it's limited how long I've been able to work at art and be here on CA. So hopefully we both got the worst of it outa the way already and 212 will be a great one!!!

So I kept checking in and you hadn't updated for a while and then I look in now and BLAMO...lotza upadates.

So to comment on a few:

The sketches in #1736 are looking quite good. Your line quality looks great and the butts at the top right are really good!

In #1737 the portrait/sketches of the woman at the top left are really nicely done! And I really like the one at the bottom right here!

I like the center Matchstick Girl panel best in #1738. I haven't done hardly any enviros...so I'll be of little help other than to offer my opinion.

And yes I like Mrs Plissken and her friends!! I'm a bit lazy about doing studies for characters...so it's good to see you working that out before going to "paint".

the usual you know anatomy boring stuff. Instead
I try to put here my personal work and my own ideas.
