That's a nice delicate SP. I think you should work more like this - less is more.

Reutte It started with DAT Ass and then just rolled onto anything else - like DAT [sexy thing] - be it something sick like DAT GAS (with an image of Hitler) or in this case the light ~ and so on.

I looked your sketchbook, you improved since the beggining. Also, I really like your delicate way of drawing lines, and your anatomy isn't bad. (I laughed when I saw the archangel's coment haha) Really nice sketchbook !

Nice self portraits. Yeah, DAT is used for everything now, but I'm not really up on meme's though. No real crit's from me, since you know better than me what anatomical problems are going on with the angel.

Looking good, the placement of self portrait's features is spot on.
I think you should idealize around the eyes more, specifically removing (or at most eluding to) the eye bangs. Removing the hard lines would help this. Also the soft edged form shadows under the eyebrows, around the nose, and the soft parts of the lips aren't soft edged enough (switching to a soft brush helps).
Sorry I can't do a paint over today (sleep deprived) but this painting shows a bit of what I'm talking about Bouguereau Girl
Though it looks great, really it does, I'm wracking my brain trying to offer anything potentially helpful for your hard work
Also idk if it's the pitch black room i'm in, or that I've been staring at this for a while but aaaaahhhhh It's like I'm looking into abyss and it's looking back at meeeeeeeeee.....ee...e.....
P.S. The Angel deserves a cookie for good anatomy

    ------------------------------

Not much imaginative work right now, I have a bunch of ideas floating around my head, but I want them to be solid. So I'm just slowly focusing on anatomy again. I forgot how mindblowing-ly clarifying Bridgman is to me. Why did I abandon him for so long.

    FORGIVE ME BRIDGMAN!!!

so..studies, unfinished self port., and just a stupid romancey picture because I'm the sappiest bitch ever.

Love the Bridgman studies, especially how you're breaking them down and analyzing how things are put together. And funny comments.

Great studies! Bridgman is great, sometimes hard for me to understand though. Have you tried building that wooden model he mentions in the first part of the book? I think someone on CA built one and has pictures if your interested. I also like the angel sketch, the design is interesting.

I'll respond to you guys in the next post. Your comments are appreciated as always

Just letting my SSG's know I haven't died.
This past week something has come up every morning (The only time I have for studies), and both my computers are biting the dust.

So unfortunately, I'm behind on studies and not getting a blessed thing done.

Looks like things won't sort out until the middle of July (if I'm lucky). so if I end up not posting--that's why. :/

    here's a [rushed] study and a WIP.

Life gets crazy so I don't think anyone minds if people vanish and re-appear. I love reading all your funny comments everytime you do studies. I'm very impressed with all your hand/arm studies. It's good to see that you do know where you're going wrong even when it's hard to apply them. XD

@everyone: thank you guys a bunch!! you guys really keep me going

Not much time to do any serious works, just felt like doing some really plain portrait practices from imagination. Not much time for studies either.
    But that's life for you!

Sorry they are all pretty expressionless ;p
These are all WIP's. I keep starting over and repainting them trying to fix some bad habits of mine.

(also yes you may notice i use the same characters for just about everything...they are like practice muses for me...i promise to bring some more variety to this all soon ;_; )

I really like these portraits, and your studies are great. Don't worry about posting, we all have things to do in our lives and sometimes we don't have time to do as much art as we'd like to.

On the mother and daughter on the beach the girl's features are spread more like an adult; children's faces are more condensed. Everything else is looking good. Keep it up.

    Everything looks just wonderful.
Make sure to slip in some more life studies every now and then as it's an irreplaceable part of learning to draw.
Also try experimenting with different types of faces. Everyone naturally drifts to their own personal stock face. It helps to write down a list of features and try to draw a face based on the description. This goes for illustration too, I'm sure. My Illustration doodles from randomness tend to be worse than my doodles based on a book or some other written story/ description.

I really like this update! Those figures look good and I really like the feeling and mood in that bog/forest piece. I like the composition of the last piece, though I think you could vary it a little or change up some elements. Anyway, great stuff, cant wait to see your next update.

I'm sorry for falling so far behind on your book. @_@

Maybe I'm weird but out of all your recent stuff, that light fixture up there is my favorite. It's so interesting for some reason. I want to know why the cover is falling off and I like the warm yet gritty feel it has to it.

Your people are great as always although obviously somewhat unfinished. XD Go hardcore on the skull mask!

Aw, I love the elven girl in the lastest post. Her head has a wonderful shape, not to much the typical fantasy one. that's how to paint beautiful elves with a real character behind the surface.
