    Thanks, man!

I used to go every week like clockwork, but haven't been for a while. Freelancing destroys that kind of routine when it picks up and just spent two months in the studio painting, so life drawing was a little too much to fit in, but I'm not complaining. Being tired from standing in front of an easel is a good kind of tired.

    Annapurna Track

Part of my watercolour education, the actual piece is smaller than a postcard.
    And a snap from Witsand.

    Wash this.

More watercolour(Jharkot in Nepal) process and hitting the road. Or getting his beside the road. During the 2010 Winelands half marathon.

The figure lady laying down is a super cool piece. Really like how you played with the proportions... do you do that with the Nikon D80, or just play around when you paint?

Thanks. I assume you're referring to one of the life drawings? They're all done with pencil and ink wash from life, not too often to I copy figures from photos, if that's what you meant...

    GO HOME

Here's the tip of a brand new iceberg.

Much of my work is based in introspective escapism, travelling without moving, visiting places I would love to see, but which do not exist. Yet.

So join me, I could get interesting.

The last set is all watercolours(and some ink). I use Pentel Aquash brushes, which make a massive difference. Also, the quality of the paint and paper have a big effect on the workability of the piece.

    Lost and Found

Sifting through old work for my website update and found this. A piece which I have next to no memory of ever doing, although I do recall the idea behind it.

    Stompin'

A page from the little black sketchbook. The actual image is smaller than what appears on your monitor. Unless of course you're looking at this on your phone.
