Hey thanks jatherip! hah he does need some color! I'll do that when i find the time :p
here some quick charcoal studies I did at school, pretty fun..gotta do more of these!
3 little speedpaints. nothing special.. just made these to show some techniques I use to a friend![]()
Nce work man, The speedpaints are looking good, they've got a nice moody atmosphere, but one thing that misses a little is the feeling of depth. Maybe that using a bit more of atmospherice perspective can help. But it's still looking good.
How's school treating you?
Keep it up man!
yo Nicky s, your'e absolutely right about the depth in the pics. I'll think about that next time ^^
School is going well, I already got some cool assignments going on!.. atm I'm working on a 3D low poly character, here's a wip![]()
Cool stuff man! No comments.
Very nice stuff man. Always a pleasure to see your work.
Nice to hear that school is treating you well.
The model looks good, it reminds me that 3D animation class is starting again this week. ^^
Keep it up!
I'm not too fond of 3d, but your paintings are sweet! And who doesn't like monkeys?
Keep on it!
man, there's some really nice stuff going on here. guess i'll subscribe.
Really liking the 3D character. Reminds me to start working on those modelling skills i'm pretty much lacking at the moment.

update!
train scene was for a compo at the school forum, theme: the night is ours.

Good stuff! I like how the atmosphere in the night train scene looks. Some of the visible brush strokes are distracting, though, possibly partly because they're a low opacity? For example, the light grey outlines around the guy turned toward the train. They look very artificial.
LOVE the eyelash monster, and the skin tones on "you" look awesome.

Are the three monkeys supposed to be anyone in particular?
I really like how the brain-like texture came out on this guy.

polydrawer hehhe I will, thanks man. your dad rocks.
Cacodaemonia - thanks for the visit again! those 3 guys had to be some kind of bureaucrats, wearing a suit, doing those expressionsdunno why, but that's what we had to do.
and for a little update, some new speeds:
some homework for Randis online class : )
lots of potential I see in here! Great work, I love it.
Very good effort here. stay focused on your stuff.
Goooood work here mate. I like how you work, and nice to see you working with Randis, he has some good shiat to teach. I think you should, when doing anything in colour, bring the colour into the image as soon as possible, and not do it with layers in the end. That might just be me, but I think as a learning excercise it is much more helpfull
