haha great stuff, you should check out algenfledger's sketchbook http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=114449 ..
He started kind of similar to you.. and he completely transformed his art into an amazing level... very inspirational for anyone that's willing to push it hard enough...
Anyways.. keep it up! Do studies! Looking forward for your next update
i have some better stuff, but the uploader is jacking up.![]()
Here we go...
Just messing around with photoshop (i havn't taken any classes yet)
And another contour drawing i had to do for Fundamentals of Drawing
This is a character i have been playing around with. Named Piku.
Completely random. But somewhat amusing.
Piku changes his look depending on his mood. This costume is inspired by Twiggy.

Today i went and talked to the Dean of Media Arts and Animation.
He gave me some pointers on how i can improve my drawings. He told me i need to draw with more of a sense of construction and form.
So with that said he pointed out some books that could help me improve the quality and consistency of my work.
I am deeply grateful for this critique because i didnt realize before that i was missing this piece of the puzzle.
Through proper constructive technique i hope to one day have the ability to transpose a character into any perspective just by rotating its base components on various axis.
Anyways. I need serious help with perspective, so I'm going to get some tutoring.
If anyone has tips please let me know.
I want to be the best, and i will just have to keep working hard. One day i will get there.

More suckage >_>;; fiddling around with wacom![]()
Just some more doodles and a lazy friday afternoon.
the lips are wrong... and the face should be more tilted to the right. And the face needs to be angled slightly more to the lower right. Jawline is a tad low.
But the nose is neat!
(why cant i see this stuff when i am drawing.)
side note: im pretty cuteh in this pic. :p

Definately need to get working on anatomy. I highly recommend the books of Andrew Loomis, due to internet availability and the clarity of his teachings. Try Google his name, or better still, I'm pretty sure there is a site called saveloomis.org where you can download his books. Some others include George Bridgman, Burne Hogarth and Vanderpoel. Get studying from some of that material and you should be off to a great start. I also second rossipoo's suggestion, check out algenpfleger's productivity throughout his thread, a true example of what dedication can do (in fact I'm trying to copy his method [his productivity that is, not necessarily his style, though it is excellent]).
Anywho, keep that mindset and keep up the good work! You're off to a nice start!
Yea. I got some loomis stuff already. Im having to really teach myself alot of stuff right now till i can afford to be full time.
...from my fist batch of Posemaniacs.
30 drawings. 45 seconds each.
Here are a few.
I feel like i am gettng better
(By the way..i dislike the image uploader that CA uses.)
im working on another batch. ill make the images smaller. im going to do 50 30's
so here are a few from my batch of 50 30's
glad to see dedication from you. It can pay off, all it takes is time. Draw confidently!
Thanks a lot. Got any pointers for posemaniacs?
I did some posemaniac....again
The pencil ones (vertical) are all 45seconds.
The pen ones (horizontal) are all 30 seconds.
I was more confident this time around.![]()
The ink ones look so bad because i tried to be more confident and decisive. @_@
Im talking to myself![]()
Hello lolbbq good start for your sketchbook man! Its really awsome to see the progression you make throught out your sketchbook life haha. Keep drawing man and keep visiting concept art you can learn and meet many amazing people that can help you on your art journey. As for your figures i suggest starting out at the key point of the figure (head) (torso) and (pelvis).
Until next time -Omerta![]()

That last set of pose maniacs shows some major improvements, for one you lost those non-reassuring sketchy lines. I can also tell the gesture of each figure which is great. Keep it up man.
You should try saving up all of the drawings you do in the day and then upload them on a night or something, you need to give people time to commentBe patient when drawing, posemaniacs are helpful at the start for form but remember not to rush other works, and also be patient when thinking about becoming successful; it takes years and years to become a good artist. It'll take hard work and patience
