liolev's animation sketchbook: Study study study!

Hey all! I guess it is now my time to open up an animation sketchbook

I hope to post as frequently as possible, and get lots of comments, advices and crits, in order to improve myself!
Right now I'm working solely from the internet, learning the animation principles etc..
I also plan to drive sometime to Tel-Aviv (It's like the "big city" over here.. hehe)
with a camera and collect some live references.

Right now It's pretty hard to get the animation books I need (Animator's Survival Kit and Illusion of Life)
because the only importer of these books has run out of stock.
Maybe I'll order them from E-bay..

Hey dude ! You have really nice stuff ! Just try to get lines a bit cleaner, especially on the third animation ! For the books, i bought them on amazon, they came really quickly ! anyway, keep it up ! Wanna see more ! keep updating !

Thanks a lot Walid! I know I've already said it in private, but I want to know
what you guys think of the tip I've got lately, so here's a quote from my pm:

First of all, thanks for the comment! I know my animation right now is doodled and unfinished,
but I got that tip from an awesome British animator who said
I should work in a more free and unfinished line in order to focus
not only on the illustration itself, but also on the movement!
Kinda works, I think.. I hope soon enough I'll have the
confidence to move on and then you'll see some finish business going on(:

What do you think? Is it a good method or am I missing something?

Really think you should be theowing caution to the wind on this one. If you are in school you are probably making the rounds at the drawing classes as well. Don't make the mistake of thinking that a drawing class and and animation class are two separate mental events. You should be getting as much detail in your animation drawings as you do in your normal drawing to be honest about it. I applaud your efforts, and understand that you may have assignments such as walk cycels and the like. Try to incorperate more events within that cylce even though you may not be sure of how they animate. I always made the mistake of limiting my animation by putting a maximum number on the drawings I THOUGHT I needed for the animation. In the end I always added more, and rarely did I throw away tweens...
