    Thanks for replies!

time for a small update...haven't been very productive this summer..

Did some bridgeman hands! I increased the contrast a lot on those last 3 sheets of figure drawings.. the originals are waay lighter. 3rd image is an attempt at doing subtle studies from www.posemaniacs.com but I quickly realized that it was kinda foolish...i wanted info on bone movement/muscle interraction and, yeah, that may be a little too much too ask from a 3d model.

I'm rambling, sorry. I should be sleeping.

Dabaers, maxetormer and D@niel: thank you very much

Just a small bump/update. I'm leaving for italy in about three weeks, and I can't wait! Summer has been a three month drag of rain, work at junk food restaurant and pure boredom. Didn't draw very much either.

The stuff on this page looks fantastic. I like the studies and life drawings you did a few days/weeks ago. I'm working on doing studies from imagination and refs but man...you're really far ahead. Looks like I got someone to compare my progress with and look up at for where I need to be and soon...Workshop is gonna be here before we know it.

Awesome everything in this book, I really like the figure studies you're doing, the one's from imagination are just as good. I dont see much clothing design though which is something i would like to see. Can't believe i havent run into this sketchbook before, really enjoyable.

I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Oooooooookay. gotta dump some more atelier stuff. No casts or long poses though. We had an unlucky semester with the models...my position on the first pose were terrible and the model kept swinging back and forth, (though slowly, like the minute pointer on a clock). It went better with the 2nd model, but i got sick and she quit the 3rd week. I only got 2 weeks worth out of that one, so nothing to show there either :| I'll upload the 3rd pose though, 'cause it's pretty hilarious. It really is. I'll try to get a decent/good photo of my 1st cast too. I spent 3 fucking months on that one. It looks kinda good though, so...yeh...picture will come sometime in January.

    Allright..

I Enrolled the ecrochè class this year. It's pretty damn demanding and I'm learning a ton. On the first semester, we had to make 5 drawings a week of a seperate skeleton part, AND we had to sculpt on a little muscle dude in oil clay. If the link works, this is kind of what the process looks like. I'm pretty far behind, but I'll catch up, eventually. Also, each monday, we get to draw Francesco for a little while. He is our anatomy model. This is our only opportunity to draw freehand, which is delightful and liberating after all the sight size noggin. They are mostly 5-20 minutes. As you can see, the proportions are all over the place, but.......HEY!

Okay, I'll scan some sight-size drawings in a minute or so...they'll be tasty Like burnt marshmallows.

Hey these anatomy studies are really great

The way that you simplify ribcase and pelvis seems very logical. Kind like Gottfried Bammes. Those ecorche skull and bone drawings looks really super. So as the shortposes. You put the info you have studied before really in use there.

Hey, man your pencils are crazy. Awesome. And the cranium studies, superb. Very delicate. And the one studying the hip was very intresting.
You had some really nice figure drawing further up. Nice line weight and break up of lines. Mm. Can't wait for school to begin again
What school are you studying at? Angels?

    Cheers!

Hey, thanks again for all the replies! I'm just going to drop a few images...moar academy yank yaaaayyy!

    :/

Okay here we go. I think I'll try to post the process of that death mask on a weekly basis or something. That eye took me forever and it doesn't even look like that, so I'm a little embarrassed to post it. The teachers at FAA looves the word 'unify'...most of the shadows are to be drawn as they are seen when you squint, theres alot of awesome reflected light I didn't draw and stuff...

Oh, and sorry about the blurry photos!
