Ok, here's the first image in my new sketchbook. My scanner had problems with it, so there's highlights on the figure that shouldn't be there. It took me about an hour or so to finish.

It's good that you are working on Anatomy, keep it up. You may want to try and changing the size of your pics here. They are way too big and that makes them really hard to see the picture as a whole.

Can't see whole thing... there's no need for such big images. 800x600 px is more than enough.

Here's some more sketches I drew today. One was an A-10 airplane on a concrete pole at a park nearby. The other was a study in trying to learn how to use my water soluble graphite pencils.

Here's an old airbrush/sharpie piece I did about a year ago, along with a sunset I did tonight with my new watercolor pencils. No refs used cuz I couldn't find a pic I liked.

Here's more work on the airplane sketch I posted a few posts up. I haven't done a whole lot with it, only about 20 minutes with a B graphite pencil, but I think it looks pretty good. I'll include the ref I used too.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I like thee A-10 drawingg, it's coming along nicely. If you're going to continue shading it, you might want to consider the direction you're moving your pencil. In your drawing, thee texture looks very different from the smooth metal because you're shading across the form. Try shading along the cylinder and see if that makes a difference. It'll look more like metal that way.

I really like the still life of the pencil sharpener up at the top, because it looks like you really defined the shapes by using value, instead of outline.

You mentioned thatt you were going to start doing the Loomis figure drawing book. Have you started yet? You should post some stuff when you get a chance.

I've been doing some more work lately. I haven't started the figure drawings yet, I'll probably get working on those sometime in the next few days. I do have some new stuff. The finished work is an Su-35 Flanker, a Russian fighter aircraft. The second is an Su-34 Fullback, another Russian jet that I'm still working on. I've kinda stalled on the A-10, I just wasn't satisfied with it.

Good to hear youre starting with Loomis (to be honest maybe i should too). You are good at detailing and working from ref, but i'd like to see more drawings of humans. Maybe try and go draw people in a park or something. Since they wont stay still for long you cant focus on details, but more on getting the shape right pretty fast.

Ps. Just have to mention, the aircrafts are nice. How long does it take for you to draw em?

Thanks, here in the next few days I'll go sit at Starbucks or somewhere similar and draw people. Too hot to do it outside. The aircraft take me anywhere from 3 hours for a quick, small one to 15 or so for a detailed, larger drawing. I'll do some more work with Loomis tonight probably, so I should have more drawings coming soon. Thanks for looking!
