your environments are fabulous but you really need to work with color contrast to give more depth and feel. b/w what with the placement of the eyes, nose and lips? they look odd.
Color:good
Compositions: good
Faces/figures: need a lot of work

Hey Bry, I really like your landscape compositions, it looks like you spent a lot of time coming up with the most impacting view. However, I do agree with the others in saying that your figures need a bit of work. For me, it seems like they have a lifeless look to him, which can be tweaked if you tamper with expressions.
I should put up a portfolio too XD;

nice renderings here...
and as you know i always say "use more reference" and "practice your anatomy"
-good post
Thanks for the comments people!
So what would be the best course of action to work on my figures?
-more gesture drawings?
-more finished drawings with attention to detail/accuracy?
-more attention to figures in final pieces?
-more anatomy study?
I just updated my site and it STILL needs more work. I hate html and javascript, never wants to work easily.

-more anatomy study? YES
-more gesture drawings? YES
-more finished drawings with attention to detail/accuracy? YES
-more attention to figures in final pieces? YES
One more thing i think you use dodge and burn tool to much, try to put colors(dark/light) your self.
Thanks for verifying what I thought I need to do Sony. I guess I'm not as bad at critiqueing myself after all.
Yeah you cought me! I do run to dodge/burn too often. When I work on Ps I tend to feel like because I see the tool there I get that child grin on my face because I have tools to play with. Its like when you got new Legos when you were a kid and you HAD to play with them all the time...man I love Legos. Man I love dodge/burn. I need to save me from myself :/
