hehe, its kinda strange to say probably, but i like ww2 as well, nice drawngs, more? a bit more detailed maybe?![]()
My sketchbook: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...106521&page=11
I like these sketches... they are pretty loose... the soldier in the first picture seems like his helmet is too large maybe?
Your sketches have a really nice feel to them, nice foreground background play. I want to see some more.
Excellent man... the last one is fantastic. Really stunning. I love WW2 as well, by the way. I've never really drawn anything from it though. I think I might try - you've inspired me.
I'm loving the updates man. I was into WW2 for a short time while I was watching Band Of Brothers. I like the over simplification of the background contrasted against the foreground.
thanks, im better at drawing people than places, the over simplification isnt on purpose its more my laziness. ill post some later that are updated soon
good start,
the third image of the first post made me stare; it's damn good action shot.
your oversimplification is a good thing in doing comic, it make the reader focus on the eseential , the story.
keep it. don't think simplification is a bad thing. Personally, i think it's a light of genius.
of course when practicing drawing, go on details as much as you can.Later The simplification will have some magic richness.
Hey me too; i love ww2 (even i didn't tell anyone)
keep posting
Good start for this sketchbook! Your drawings are good but I think you're characters look a bit stiff. Your rendering could use some work as well. Do some life drawings and anatomy studies and you'll definitely improve on those areas if you spend enough time practicing.
Great work though! Would be cool to see something different though.
actually i used to lifedraw quite often, but these are all from my imagination. granted some may be a little stiff but i dont always follow the most efficient direction in completing sketches. i probably draw too many portraits and usually the detail crumbles from the neck down. it may be vain but i kinda like not using much reference. if anyone wants to suggest a scenario for me to draw, or even help me with the composition id appreciate it
ps- lol no offense jackpot but if i wanted stiff id study ur sketchbook jk

Good update man like the variety! You're able to capture the head quite well but it starts getting a little wonky when you start turning it in perspective. The man with the glasses should have more to his skull in the back end, looks like it got chopped off, his neck is way too small as well. Other than that I'd like to see these drawings scanned, the digital camera definitely makes it look cheaper than it is!
Keep goin man!
You've got some nice stuff man, my fav is the second girl on post #5.
Keep it comin !
Nice works. Keep posting
Art of War more like. Try and add more dynamisism to your work. Apart from that, keep rocking sun tzu^^

Yes man! You're a drawing machine! Love it, love it, love it.
A lot of your work is really sketchy with a few exceptions. I'd like to see you slow down a little and work on just one image... perhaps Audie Murphy mowing down a whole squad of German Stormtroopers? Or Vasily Zaytsev taking aim down his Mosin-Nagant? Take your time (this is my biggest downfall).
Love your stuff though man.
ya stalker thats my biggest issue as an artist too i think i have ADHD. ill make an honest effort from this point on to finish things i start, but sometimes i live to regret it... i mean, it just looks better to me unfinished sometimes. i just watched enemy at the gates, i love zaytsev, im not sure if i can picture audie murphy shooting all those germans... if i drew vasily, would i draw movie jude law or real life vasily?

Haha, me too me man, I easily get bored with a drawing. I do like your sketches though! Don't stop sketching, but try to also work slower on one image.
Great movie, but I wouldn't use Jude Law - I would either try to find what he really looked like, or just make up another Russian sharpshooter. It was just an idea so you could focus on one thing.
Oh, and I love the first sketch on this update.
just a question, how do u update the pic thats used for the thumbnail for this thread, when i upload a new image it still shows the first one
Umm... you have to remove the attachments in your first post then upload the one you want as the thumb first.
ok so now it shows it as nothing...
Attach it in the post. That should work.

wow i think ive just about tried everything... nothing works now, and i thought i was attaching it in the post. this is the most simple yet frustrating thing ever... i guess its supposed to just automaticallly detect it?
Audie Murphy - PS anyone have any idea why i cant get a damn thumbnail to show up outside my thread, plz help me
ok, so i dont think i can fix it right now, seems like alot of other ppl are having the same problem with this as i am. i hope concepart.org fixes this soon..
