Thanks Grandmassa! Which pokemon you think I should do next? I got like 151 to choose from and even more if you count the newer versions.

Did a little fast something yesterday before I went to sleep.

i like the red creatures face, that would make a cool mask.
Also like the glowing ring with the letters behind the creature.

You should do more human body studies, with a focus on hands, feet and proportions.

Hey guys, I'm really gratefull for your comments so I'm sorry I took so long to rerply on them. Currently studying geology (ooo rock'n'roll!) so I am a bit preoccupied.

Mordus - Good ideas! I drawed Mew, but it turned out to look like some fan-art and I scrapped it, but I'll post it anyways. Gonna do a new try on drawing him on acid.

alesoun - Heh, that's pretty intresting, couldn't believ that my little drawing could remind you of someone in the real world.

kelly x - Yo Kelly! Coming right up! Any particular ones?

Grandma - Hey thanks man! Really glad you liked it. Your posts always cracks me up, example NBC CNN WTF?// NPC - You're clever man.

R a n d i s - Thank you Randis for the critique, really glad to get some so I know what I should focus on. I really have neglected studying those you mentioned, I'll slap my face and shuv my head down cold water and shape up.

Pigeonkill -Thank you! Yeah my hands really hurt after painting with only the mouse, but I got my cintic 3 some months ago and now my hands feels much better. Although I would like to do more studies with the mouse, so I wont loose that ability.

Thought I post my CHOW entry, and the Mew drawing that didn't turn out as I wanted to, so I scrapped it.

Mischeviouslittleelf - Glad you digg it.

clockworksnail - Welcome back! You're free to visit as often as you want. Thanks man, I really appriciate it.

I think I wont be able to draw for some time now, got an geology exam this thursday, but I'll see if I can get any time over to do some hand, feet, proportion studies going.

Oh and here's another master study (Rubens this time) I did using nothing but the mouse, I do this because I want to see how far I can go before I need to use the tablet, all and all it took maybe 1,5 hours to make so far. I scrapped this one, because I didn't like how it turned out. Original is at left in the paitning, as you obviously can see.

Funny, those freaky bird head monsters make me think of the manga Berserk (by Kentaro Miura, beware : I said the manga not the anime ), great work.

And nice study (even if I do agree with Krato :p)

Krato - Thankies man! I'll see if I return to it, but if I do I will push the values a bit more .

Quike Garcia - Thanks! I would rather have epic talet skills though, less stressfull on the wrists.

    Ian Miles - Thank you!

Bengiskhan - Oh I know what you mean, you're thinking of that dude that had the birdface mask. Well tbh that wasn't very original by the artist, because plague doctors wore these kinda masks during the Black Plague for example. I got inspiration for mine from a weird dream I had. Gotta continue to read Berserk now when you have reminded me! Oh and thanks!

Thank you for the reply, jatherip. I am of course going to do more Ruben studies, but first I wanna do some Rembrant ones.

Ok got my computer repaired after my "new" graphics card fan stopped working, so I haven't been able to do any drawings digitaly lately - which was good since I then had to force myself to draw on paper which really improved me I think, since I feel I have now gotten a better understanding of planes and how to shade. Still a LONG road to walk, but I hope I make a leap now and then which suprises me as much as discovering how planes works did to me.

Ok, here's some drawings I made lately. The first ones are before I discovered how planes work, and the last two are after I made that "wow" suprise, as my friend insanetk say.
Also I think I need a new scanner, this one I am using is 10 years old, and everything turns out gritty and doesn't make the drawings justice, imo. I have to use photoshop to sharpen it up and adjust intensity and so on.

First depicts my character I used in the Art Crusade Headhunter Guild (damn I miss that, it was just so fun and shouldn't have died ) and some other lizard men.
Second one is some head studies trying to understand how to shade.
Third one is after I started discovering how planes work, a dinosaur made up by planes, Polygosaurus.
Last one is a doodle I made, trying out the planes and experimenting with shadows.

Ok this is something I just want to get off my chest, a stupid rant, I would lie if I said anything else: I hate my drawings. I try and study and study but I don't see any kind of progress in my drawings, even though I almost study each day. I have no understanding of form or perspective and none of how to shade properly. My goal is to become as good as you guys on MassiveBlack are and be able to draw the human body without using references, like Burne Hogarth does, but I constantly have to look at them because it just doesn't look right when I draw. It's like I have a brain disease or something.

I have known this guy Insanetk on this site for some years, he's a great friend, he have constantly been leaping FAR during 2 years and progressed so much from starting at scratch 2 years ago, much more then I have done in my whole life I feel. And then I look at how much I have progressed these years, not much at all and I feel like shit. He gives me great advise on how to do for becoming better, studtying form, perspective and so on, and he's a great teacher. But I just can't get to the next level, taking it further. It all feels so frustrating and hopeless and sometimes I get depressed and won't draw anything at all.

I just feel so... lost. What am I doing wrong?

I really want to thank R A N D I S and the others who have given me critique on how to get better, I would sooo love to get hard critique, like totally bashing me, because I feel I learn best by that. I really want to progress and get a lot better.

    Hey dude,
i know i cant speak for everyone when i say this, but personally, i hate my drawings too. im embarrassed to put them on my sketchbook and my doodles never even make it to the sketchbook.

i think most people hate what they draw. they want perfection and they always feel they could do better, but its not about how you feel, its about how others feel about your work. and personallly, i think your work is awesome. i know people at my school who would kill to be able to draw like you. this site is filled with amazing artists, its disheartening in away because it makes others feel like they are terrible, but its also the best thing you could want for the site. it gives you something to look up to and to motivate yourself. but deep down, i bet even the best artists feel their work is crap.
the trick is to not let anyone else know thats how you feel, that way they see the good points and not the bad points.

try and look for the good points of your work, and instead of focusing on the bad points, find them and decide how you are going to change them.

we learn every day, even when we dont mean to.
you may not think you have improved, but ask the people who visit your SB and im pretty sure you'll find its different.

    keep drawing
hope i didnt just make a retard out of myself,
    cya!

Starting over from scratch which I really need I realise now.
Gotta study and understand things better, since I have lived a lie so far (artistic life speaking).

Doing bone studiesafter the Bone Doctor Michael Mentler, I want to understand the human proportions and get it right when I draw.
This is my first studies from the start over I am doing from NOW on!
Please, any kind of critique, advice or anything at all will make me gratefull. Bash me!

I have also started taking Croquis classes, found out my university got free classes twice a week for students and employes!

Ok, today's study, the skeleton a bit, and heads. But my friend have pointed out I should think more 3D. So I am doing these grid-3D like studies from now on untill I have mastered dimension, which I have no understanding of.

Ok, todays studies, trying to understand how dimension works, and get proportions of the head right while doing so. Gotta remember to study my anatomy books tomorrow and see how the skull and the eyes in particular fuction/look like and so. But I am such a slow learner, I hope I'll understand things faster and better in the future.

Did some horribly squiggly line studies that was completely out of proportion, as they usually are. But I scrapped them and alas I couldn't post them.

Did something else some hours ago, Wolfman quicky.
