Those prints you did on the last page are sooooooo cool! Hehe...not really any galleries in the vicinity, but I think I'm going to see if I can get in touch with the local artist's guild. I went to their site once and I don't think there was one person under the age of fifty, but hey, with age comes wisdom.

Keep at it! Come on, you can't just drop some work on us every month. I enjoy seeing some lovely art a bit more often than that!

YO YO YO BROTHAS AND SISTAS OF CA ! sorry ive been out for a while... I am a Counsilor at a local centre for the arts
during a bunch of marchbreak camps super hard work but very rewarding after that week i got super sick and i'm just geting over it now

so i got accepted in to the Art school i wanted ((( NSCAD ))) right now they are reviewing my portfolio for scholarship
second year im planning to take a semester in either NYC / Amsterdam / Paris / London

right now im working out which res ima live in so TIS PRETTY EXCITING I'm UBER PUMPED

so i totally broke out the ol tablet today and decided to start something a little comfortable to get back in the flow

now that i have my shapes and composition its about refining my color palate getting rid of the blacks and sculpting all the sketchy parts

Weashell YESSS THE POWER OF ART freakin love it, ive had it on DVD for a few months now! veryyy goood, ive actually gone to see
one of Simon Schama's Lectures on Turner at the met in NYC (FREAKIN EPIC !)

    Glaudarien thanks mate !

Pixie Do it up, the group i paint with ages are 52...60 something ....early 30s ... me and a girl who is 18 age doesnt
matter one bit we all have something to
give each other, older artists have got to pass on the torch at some point

dont worry im getting back in to it

with this painting i really want to finish it up untill i feel like its "finished" so il keep working on it for another few days and see what happens

YES THE BLACKS WILL GO just started adding color from the sketch

quick warmup thumb before i start a new painting

    off topic :
ive got these ideas floating around in my head for some large scale Acrylic/oil on 6 by 4 foot canvases subject mostly around the super foggy atmosphere and the way the landscape changes with that

done outdoors and stuff ive got to do some smaller scale paintings / sketches / notes about what kind of colors il need to mix up loosely so i can paint fast before the weather changes too much / then im going to pick up the canvases and have all my supplys and stuff ready so i can go drive out and get painting in the land as soon as it gets super foggy i can feel it its the next breaking point with my work im pretty sure to the next level

should be wicked im super pumped

Well the one with the black that will go away is starting to have its shape, and i'm curious how it will look further on.
And your last one, i can see you are struggling with it, especially when i look at the colour scheme. I for one liked it with more green. Looked more refreshing.

I see you know what you have to do, so i'm gonna cheer you on now

Right now I think you need to focus on getting down the basic values, shapes and colours before you get all fancy with textures. I can't tell where the light is coming from! The atmosphere is looking good though, I must say.

alright getting back to those traditional roots

    Acrylics on canvas

Work in progress 36" - 48" working quite large with this one going to start with the oils on top soon

this is the first in that fog series i was talking about

went out and took a gajillion photos of the fog around the area i live

Pixie yeahhh... im pretty horrible haha il get there ive been trying to do a gazillion things at once right now

Lav thanks looks like i dropped that piece for now maybe il get back to it some day

Danlucas no problem man ! thanks mate

GRANNNYYYYYY hows that course goin man ? you've got some killer work goin on keep it coming you got the drive you got the passion you got the skillz

its allll you mate, inspiration to the max !

been listening to this tune lately its a shame Unquote just go drafted to the Russian military so he wont be able to produce for a year or so amazing artist in the DnB community HOSPITAL RECORDS ARE ON POINT !

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UBOzklsrAg

i never update im terrible >.<

PS: added a thumbnail im really digging it from far away right now

if i do more of a finished series around this piece it really needs a gallery setting standing far away mounted on a wall so you can walk far/close around it

perhaps i will try to get it in to a local gallery as a series im pretty excited working on them right now

who knows though just gota keep painting !

    Well that certainly is beautiful!!!!!
And the music goes so well with it too.

I'd suggest you posting the video right here though. if you use and the code after the = in the link (in this case _UBOzklsrAg) you'll be able to click play from here

Back at viewing the painting..it is stunning! I can really loose myself in it, look and look, and look some more. The texture is so calming.
I really do hope you will get this exposed in a gallery, and i am looking forward to your series.

The other speed paints i can see in the other updates have this mood too, but this one really is by far your best so far.

    See you!

watch out for having too much black in your pieces, but then again, these are kinda old so I can't tell on what level you are art wise.
