Liffey Thanks man I'll tryto! My son is keeping me busy.

    Dana_T Thank you!

strings Thanks a lot man...I laughed out loud about the lens flare.

Ninjerina Thanks Ningerina! Yeah the boobs were drawn from a model. The ones that I did without ref looked crappy so I used a nude...Unfortunately they still look wrong but that was kind of how they looked in real life. That's what I get for drawing exactly what was there.

Marian Rowling Wow Marian, What very kind words you shared with me. I'm humbled and thankful.

    Wr00m Thanks Wr00m!

cgaddict Thanks a ton CG...for everything.

Istmin52 I know exactly what you mean Istim52. I don't have the access to have models come and pose when I feel like it. Kind of have to Frankenstein reference as best as you can unless you work from the reference and then exaggerate as needed. Keep up the practice...it'll come.

great sb you have here - I like the self-portraits a lot, and its interesting to hear how you transfer images between painter and photoshop, something I had never thought of trying. (even though its fairly obvious I guess!). Never seen your sb before but I'll definitely be back to check out the progress. No crits here!

Very long time since my last post. Having a 19 month old and another one due in June...time is tight and busy. Still practicing and finding the right blend of programs that work best for me. Pretty excited about Spectrum coming to Kansas City.

Holy god your work is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!

I also like your sig quote -- perfect practice indeed.. I need to slow down in my own studies and be more meticulous, and I'll try to keep that idiom in mind..

Sorry I have nothing constructive to say -- just lovely work, keep it up!

JesseM - Thank you JesseM. I got that quote from a science magazine which highlighted the definable line that separates the people who are really good from the people who are the best in the world. Like the Jordans, Phleps, Fischers, and Woods of the world.

derekdedgell - Thanks I will try to. Spectrum has me amped.

Yemi775 - Thank you so much.

    The Nuge - Thanks!

hhsrhhf7p - Thank you. I have a love hate relationship with Corel Painter. Right now I love it.

Ludic - Thank you but I see the flaws so I keep at it.

    GEB - Thank you GEB.

NickyBeats - Thank you NickyBeats. Caricature is a challenge for me.

bish0p2004 - Thank you. Lots of other great artist inspire as well as educate me.

Cameli - Thanks a lot Cameli!

Painter is awesome again. I dusted off my 6d intuos 3 pen and started rocking the shit out of that thing. Feels like real oils to me...er at least the "most" like real oils to me. Special treat attached for you guys for taking a look. If you don't use Sketchup then here's some incentive to start.

Awesome sketchbook Jason, I browsed from the first page to the most recent, your work is very inspirational! I love the quirkiness and humor you have with your caricatures, your knowledge of forms is rock-solid and your painting technique beautiful. The new work is incredible, it's a treat to see the growth from 2010 to 2012. Thank you for sharing your work! I look forward to seeing more! Really gorgeous stuff. Congrats on your expanding family as well, it must be a fun time!

Could you spare a few moments and do a little process painting of how you use the artists oils like that in painter? In your last portrait. Also how long did the portrait take you?
