    intuos4 large smaller than intuos3 9x12?

    Hi everyone,

I have a intuos3 9x12 tablet and am really interested in getting
the new intuos4 large but from all the pictures i have seen on the net,
it looks like the drawing space is alot smaller than the intuos3 9x12.
I was just wondering for those who made the switch how big is the
    size difference?

The active surface area for the Intuos4 Large changed to a wide-screen format, so the new active surface dimensions are 12.8" X 8" (source)

    Hope that helps.

My Intuos3 mapping is set to proportional, my screen is 16:9 ratio, so I think Large will be the same for less, if I buy it.

Well if you do have a wide screen monitor you do loose some space so it evens out
