~oh, du sprichst deutsch?!wie kommts?!~![]()
@The7Artist7 - Thank you! But I drank my beer as well...all out now :/
@ Obstfelder, JSpayde & brambor - Thanks, guise!
@ Sushy - I`s a post-it container-do-hickey kind of thingy. But I never use it! Still, now it DOES have a purpose
@SnobbyOo - Hey Mann, toll dich hier zu sehen! Ja, Deutsch SPRECHE ich, aber mit dem Schreiben geht es leider nicht so toll. Bleh
So, 2 more metallic studies. I started to worry about how reflections react on different shapes, not knowing what to use, and then it hit me - duh, tinfoil! I can shape it any way I want to and then observe what happens. Cool stuff, that tinfoil...cool stuff. Having problems with those tiny creases, so I`ll observe it a bit more tomorrow. Also - did you know that shadow areas actually reflect secondary light color (if there is a secondary light source, otherwise it reflects colors from the surrounding space), and that every highlight is followed by a shadow?! Wha, who knew, right? Well, maybe you have, I didn`t...till now that is.
Life studies FTW!
S today - metallic study #4, photo study and figures from mind. Didn`t have the best of days, but there`s always tomorrow![]()
Really nice studies! These last figures look really great. Keep up the good work!
@alexson - Thanks, m8!
@LtPlissken - Oi vei...*performance anxiety*
I didn`t quite feel like making studies today (also, couldn`t find a decent shop with pencils and erasers in my hood, which means I`ll have to go to town -_-), so I did this crappy illustration for your enjoyment only. Also - automatic contrast/color in PS IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Ffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu u........................!
i kind of like the colours in it, it has a deathly approach to it, maybe just play more with a different colour of light that's reflected on her skin or something?
Anyways, really liking the updates man!![]()
Aah cool works. More figures plz!
Thanks guys.
Got a cold. Using as much tissues as a 13 year old who just discovered Victoria's Secret catalog. Can`t sleep. Reading comics. Drawing. Everything turns out looking like crap.
Enjoy.
quickie...
Your girls are always so sexy, especially the dangerous ones
Very cool designs of the demons (i wonder tho does every demon represent a bad characteristic of you?)
I just saw your finished Barbarella - i love it! Its perfect (orrr you could work on her hair a bit more)
Anyway, your sb is also great, very inspiring. Progress from the 1st page is insane.
keep it up.

Open for commissions......just PM me.
D`aaaw, thanks guys!I fell off the drawing wagon there a bit, but I`m back on again. Mostly
Finished Barbarella ChOW (and this is what you get for not using references - her entire body is super woky -_- well, at least I got an idea for a print to make for my kitchen), a "I fell guilty drawing too much chicks, OMG I have to do something macho" quickie (I have no idea what it is, btw), and some silhouette analysis for one of my college classes (which, btw. I have to redo again), just to show you guys what I should be all about, but am not. I swear, most of my classmates look at me like I`m a black sheep. Just because I draw an occasional monster or something, instead of high fashion evening gowns. Pfft.
Needles to say those kids (I`m one of the oldest at my year) had NO IDEA who Barbarella is. I - was - shocked.

Ok i'm not that old but even i know who's Barbarella...
and there is nothing wrong with drawing half naked/naked (or even fully clothed) chicks all the time, especially if you draw them.
Liked your last chow entry, though i think that you could make it a bit more interesting, by adding more details to the costume and making a more dynamic pose.
Keep up with the great work.
Alex.
Open for commissions......just PM me.
@LtPlissken - You freak, you...
Did a COW this week, just to keep things "fresh"...*cough cough*
Also - finally scanned my super rushed costume/character designs I did 3 months ago. God, the mistakes...

Great concepts as always!
liked especially the right one in the character concepts.
Alex.
Open for commissions......just PM me.
Your Barberella CHOW - what needs to be said? It's beautiful. Always impressive Pxel.
Fantastic character work! I like how much personality you put into your art.
The only thing I'd suggest would be to darken some of the outlines to provide more definition, but I do know that these are sketches.![]()

Recent doodles (somehow everything I draw ends up looking fahion...ly/ish). I also tried to do a color study/portrait of this beautiful girl whose photo I found online, but for the love of me, it just didn`t work, no matter how hard I tried...resulting in frustration, of course.
Do I even have a future in illustration/concept art? Alone, self taught? In a country where 99,99% of population dosen`t even know what concept art is, and there is only a fist full of illustrators, scattered and hidden from the rest of society? And nobody can guarantee that hard work will pay off, b/c there is always somebody out there who worked even harder...To commit, or quit? God, I hate reality checks...-_-
Dear mister PxelSlayer,
I am here to inform you that you are in fact a master of awesomeness. And if you do not reply this in the mirror to yourself in the next couple of days, you may recieve an unpleasent bitchslap from your dearest and concerning followers in the hopes to have woken you up.
Sincerely,
Lav
No, but seriously, i understand that you get doubts and all that, i've been through that as well. At one point it's good so it keeps your feet on the ground and keep yourself open for improvements and criticism, but you must also recognise the talent and skills that you already have. You may be jealous of the work of other artists but i don't think you realise how many people admire the work that you make.
I think what's most important is to not dwell too much about job offers in the future (if i'm not mistaken, you're currently still in school?) And just do what makes you happy now and strive to be the best that you personally can be. Eventho the school might not always appreciate the type of work you make, there are still a lot of people out there that do, so don't doubt yourself!
ps: Whenever you feel like this again, get some chocolate muffins in stock to use for "Emergency ONLY". It's been known to help reality checks under control since 1982.
Duude, that FRO is AWESOME XD
I also love everything else. Only one thing though, try to shade with your pencil strokes following the shape of the body or cloth more, I don't know if you get what I mean...
And that Barbarella...Abnormally good.

Thanks guys.
Note to self - grow a f*****g backbone, you lazy prick. God...-_-
Anyways - face studies. Getting a likeness is super hard. Also, it might be a good idea to shade with a blunt pen tip, rather than sharpened. Also - NO BLENDERS FOR YOU (as in, me) - as long as I don`t figure out how to get a nice, even tone w/o blending, some restrictions have to be made.
Trying to squeeze in even a little bit of drawing (about an hour) daily, just to get used to drawing daily. And to do a study a day, regardless of the subject.
I`m getting hardcore on my ass. Period.
