sounds interesting , although the topic doesn't really make sense to me, sounds kinda like something that would result from bad team work where everyone wants to be the character designer, of course you haven't fully announced the topic yet so this is just a thought I had. Personally I think it would be amazing if the mission was to create a unit that consisted of a vehicle, weapon designs, characters, and beast/pet so your all working on something slightly different but still consistent throughout the unit. Anyway, like a said just a thought, sounds like a very cool idea Daestwen

Missed this one originally, so thought I would reply to it now.

We did something like this (though it was an individual project) with DEEP.

Since this is the Character of the Week contest, we do characters.

Maybe at a later point we'll join up with COW, IDW, EOW and POW, but to keep things simple right now (and since I'm running it, and it's a weekly character contest) we're sticking to characters.

daes', I may have missed it in my pass through the entire thread, but isn't this going to be kind of difficult for people whose work is so radically different from most others? I'm thinking of people like cookie', me, Gax (if he's in), Clochette and so on. Would it be up to us to work out the sharing methodology, if that's even possible?

Ilaekae: This is just me thinking out loud, but would it be possible for one of two things, either they form a group themselves or they be in charge of certain aspects of characters? I dunno... I could be overstepping the topic brief here. I'm just saying like one person could be in charge of coloring or line work or something? I dunno... might have to break it up into sort of a fully-functional art team with a chain of tasks or something?

You're right Matte'. I didn't think far enough. It would be relatively easy for someone to do the penciling/characters whose strengths are in that area, another to "ink" those images in vector, and one or more to handle the paint and backgrounds.

Ilaekae: I had this discussion with Cookie, actually. It'll be up to you guys to work it out, but I think it's doable. :] Clochette and entdroid teamed up and they have styles that could work really well together. But yes, splitting up what each person is responsible for is a good idea too.

Matte Art: It's a little hard for me logistically to figure out everyone's timezones, but if you're randomly assigned and it doesn't work out time-zone wise, I'll just switch you into a different group.
