Congratulation on the driving exam . I really like your pencil work, the lines are very fluent and lively.
And yea color is a tricky thing, im trying to learn it myself at the moment, so i cant really give you any good advise - the only thing i can say is keep practicing and have fun while you are doing it

    Cheers!

yo dude! you stay busy updating, good! nice to see you tried to do a longer one( with the leopards) it looks like you tried your best to be very patient what i noticed is that the leopards and the girl and the background are kinda loose from eachn other. the dune looks like its just a pile of sand instead of a high dune. i think its because it ends lower then the girls head, and it looks like she's already half on it. maybe you could try to give it a second go and try to make it more 'one' i would be really curious to see if you can fix it. would love to see you make a step with that one all the life drawing is nice as well, keep doing it! im waiting for yiour updates!

Just because you are loud do not means that you are interesting !

    - Stick figure of creativity

thank you so much guys, today was a very melancolic day, don´t know why.
maybe because i have to do so much for school, and it feels quite sensless to learn disturbing things, which will be forgotten in a month.
but that´s school, and it´s important, i know.
i´m not a very good student, so i have to hold my level, a bad mark would be fatal
but because of you i´m going to draw something today, maybe another self-portrait, whatever, we´ll see.

    so

@rogerb: thanks dude nice to hear that someone cares about my sketchbook

here are the things i did in the last 5 days, as i said, i don´t have much spare time. i did most of the drawings in school.
startet with bridgman, did some from imagination in school, it´s crap, upluad it anyway. hand studies from myself, a portrat i did in school, hand and seom thing-studies from life,, random woman from imagination with a lot of wind WHOOOSH XD
and a self portrait, don´t like the form, was a very quick one, but i think i did a step ahead with the shade, i have problems with that.
erm, yes, oh and a garlic and onion studie from life.

thanks again to you guys, i absolutley apperciate every comment and criticism
    bye

oh, one thing, i have my hair cut, don´t be surprised my sister said, im looking like a slodier XD it´s very short

EDIT: i think i should say something construcive, tooo you should use bigger brushes, this would speed up your process, i refer to your last piece

The gestures, still lifes, and the self portraits stand out as some of the best work in here. Keep it up man! They all three have their uses that can be expanded and used in things other than themselves.

Nice improvement, I like the Loomis studies, it pays off in your other work. I like the color studies, especially the knife, the color of the kiwi doesn't seem to be on point, it looks a bit like they're made of plastic. Maybe that a darker tone and well placed highlights can give it a 'juicy' look.
I'm still struggling with colors, it can be hard sometimes to see what color it really is.
But keep up the good work.

It's zeus! really neat concept man, I would lower the saturation on the background so the character will pop out and the eye will concentrate on the character.

yo dude! nice studying! good to see you keep on working. the zeus thing could use some more work though, right now i think the coloring looks a little 'cheap' i think, and the background is not my kind of thing. i didnt see the background for a wall so that makes the shadow behind his head a bit strange. but im sure u can make something better out of it with a few hours more work i like rthe thing in his hand btw!

Thanks for dropping by, your sketches are really good, and you seem to get even better at it. As for digi's tomtato and kiwi studies are neat, but the zeus one has too saturated and a bit anormal colours.

Do some color studie sof the sky, and color studies in general they are good for everything hah!

    Best wishes, Ice

there's progress in those faces, your observation is getting better!
i dont know how it works with digi painting, but maybe you could choose a brush, or make something else up, too make the face look a little more skin like. right now it looks a bit plastic, but i know how hard it is to paint a face bummer from your scanner, but to make up for it, just make more digi paints

    Hello HerrLeer,
I found your thread from Jatherip's signature, I also agree with above posters that you have some really neat things going on here. Definite sense of color (which I'm jealous of because I suck at it) and a good push with your studies.

Right now the biggest critique I can offer is that sometimes you draw the eyes too narrow (or small) in your portraits. For example, the painted girl in #78 is almost flawless except for the eyes, you nailed the color of the skin and everything else in the face as far as I can see. The same holds true for the Soldier in #79. Other times you get the eyes right, in some of your pencil sketches they look good.

I loved the landscape sketches in #78, those are excellent.

Anyways, you definitely have potential, if you clean up some small issues you'll be at the next level before you know it. Cheers!
