Love the sketches, and love how you are going about doing them, the golden mean, the quick sketches, working like a true master. It takes effort to work in this method, but in the long run it pays off very well.
Will you turn this into oils or will it be just in graphite with gouache or something????

Oh and yeah, HAPPY NEW YEAR MATE.

    Beautiful sketches, man.

You know, I just realized I've seen this pigeon lady, even took photos of her. Unfortunately, I lost all the photos I took in Sydney.

thanks sil the practice never ends!

bhanu- definitely, been looking at some hindu art and statues, they are so amazing, i love it. Also starting to look into the mythology and stuff as well, its so psychedelic! I actually put in the flute and did a search for some indian flutes and came across a shitload of images with krishna using a flute i was like whoa!!

hunter killer- that's crazy man, haha I guess if you're in sydney you're bound to run into her now and again

just messed around with oils and pastel on this sketch, experimenting. Will be exhibiting the sketchbook in SF asa solo show, stay tuned for more info.
    cheers thanks for looking

Very interesting to compare the pencil sketch to now with the paint.

Edit: I don't understand the relative lack of response to your updates, makes me embarrased to be a member here.

Awesome, ancient Indian Sculptures and art are the best, shows how easily we lost all that great art :/ but meh. Indian mythology is way cool, try to read mahabharata in english if you can find. Its an epic, and theres a whole lotta crazy shit that goes in our mythologies, hey we created Kamasutra(FTW). I am actually just stoked what you would do with that lord Krishna drawing(he gets connected with flute in our culture).
    I really am excited.
    GO RodrigO!!
