I spent about 50 hours on that one, which is about 20 hours less than my last one. i'm a bit slow at them heh.
that is a fucking sick fucking cast drawing. I can almost feel the cast when I touch my monitor. Good job dude, and gratz to getting into the atelier!
edit: I checked a page back and found this diamond, http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1241213834
on the crit side I could say that you probably need to spend more time getting the pose and forms of your characters to read better
very sweet work man! i can't stand 2 hours on one
thing let alone 50 hours. fantastic!!!
lovin the characters. ;]
ps. i love 5th element. i wish there was a second one
with all the badassity as the first!
hoohooo that cast drawing is looking sweet man, it looks smooooooth
i could put my headphone iin that sexual ear.
howed you get such smooth transition and coverage with a freakin pencil?
The way you rendered the shine on that earlobe kills me--beautiful, thoughtful work. Your perseverance is really paying off.
wasker - indeed, that has been a long, long running problem of mine. MUST OVERCOME ;p
daniel - thank ya. that particular guy was meant to be kind of subtle, since he's meant for a Web site header. may have taken it a bit too generic. i'll rework and repost.
maaattttgamer - they'd probably just cast vin diesel and fux it up ;p
hunchback - thanks, man. i'll shoot you a PM about cast.
dawn-courtyard - thanks!
Wow good stuff! That cast drawing is sweet! keep it up!
awesome man! too bad we didnt get to braid each others hair and paint our nails when i was there. next time though! looking forward to those sketchbook pages
The cast drawing is incredible--I especially love the chip! You've come so far with your life drawings, too. Looking forward to when you can show us more work.
sure looks like a cast
wow, that cast is perfect...totally stunning and realistic, awesome work!
looks like i'm going to have some personal stuff to post over the next few weeks, so i might as well kick start my sketchbook again.
my first batch of thumbnails for a new class. spent about 30 minutes to an hour on each. purposefully loose and fugly, since composition was the only thing of importance, and details mostly just get in the way when figuring that junk out. sorry for the shite values ;P

Wow dude, nice thumbnails ! i find the 2nd one is the best, tho you could change a few things ! i think you know that the eye is attracted by the lightest values in an illustration ( and by faces too ) ! So instead of puting the lightest values on the right side of the thumbnail, you should put it just behind monster, like a light coming from behind him ! Anway, the camera angle is really dynamic, and the abstract shapes are nice ! i'm gonna check again your sb and i'm looking forward to see an amazing piece ! Keep it up
