I say you have a nice collection of body movements and facial expressions in your sketches. I think you can easily make a move into 2D animation to show off your skills.

Thanks for the advice. I really like the animation. I use to want to do animation when I was a teen. Once I get my drawing skills down a bit I'll probably give it a try.

Thanks JerryActric DamnStraight, and will123 will, for dropping by and commmenting

I really can't express how much I love animation. I've been doing so much fun stuff at work - but I can't show it until the shows have aired! so lame!!
Still looking for my scanner too.... it's completely AWOL!
so here's some more rectangles- and some naked ladies! from imagination.

lol, Mila - that's as far as I plan to take those animations, they're just sketches to work on timing and cycling.

Below: the rectangles are some snipits of a novel I've written and re-written, that will never see the light of day (haha)
and a singer, because I was listing to some 60's music.

Great sketchbook, and thanks for stopping by mine. Your comments were really helpful.

Your output is prodigious! And your digital sketches are really clean and crisp. Thats something I find interesting - that people's digital linework can be cleaner than their traditional stuff. I cant draw digitally at all yet (only recently got a tablet) and can just about paint with it so my traditional stuff is much better than my digital. Just wondering if you started out drawing digitally before moving into traditional sketching?

I love your figure work and especially like those little post-it sketches you do. They really show your skill that you can get something so detailed on such a small area.

    Great stuff!

twilightmoon777 - thanks, glad you like it
Candra H - I started drawing when I was 5, lol. so at that time it was pencils and paper. But I got my first tablet at age 15 when I got my first job, so I've been drawing digitally for about 11 years. For the most part my digtal work is cleaner because my sketchbook stuff was drawn on the bus or the subway - so from drawing on a bus for a few years, drawing while at a desk is about a million times easier in terms of line quality .
    MatthewHD- thanks
Lightship69- thanks - always happy to give you a good kick in the pants.

kk, so my scanner is officially lost in the move (nothing left to unpack ) and my all-in-one printer has lost it's power chord >.<
so, until I get something figured out, it's gonna be all digital for a while.
    here's some doodles.

    Interesting cartoon characters.
Work more on the values and anatomy studies.
I'd say to watch people move and draw quick doodles. That will help a lot on the movement understanding and pose.
    Keep up.

Kat_Rin - thanks a lot! I love thinking that I could inspire someone
Iven - never give up Iven!! just be stubborn. Try something new- try a new approach. But never give up. when you let yourself do it once, you'll let yourself do it again. It can easily become a habit and then - where will you be? O_O
Joe777k7 - thanks I usually leave my construction in out of laziness, and a short attention span! but if it's useful, all the better.

My husband found the power chord for my all-in-one printer scanner thing. so I scanned the stack of post-its I've been stacking. The scanner's a bit junky and all the scans came out as bright as the sun, so I de-saturated the guts out of them. but they were once yellow post-its.
and another animated sketch. Only a million more until I'm Glen Keane

Nice updates buddy! I like the orc head in the last lot of sketches especially, though I suspect due to the size of his classic orc jaw the rain must fill his mouth to overflowing every time there is a storm!
Its just weird the thoughts that pop into my head sometimes as I visit your SB matey!!

Sorry Iven, I don't use one. I have heard they're starting to put out pressure sensitive ones, and ones that work with wacom pens but I havn't done much research. I just carry a sketchbook.

    Hi there My mate

How was Newfoundland? good I hope! Did you get any good photos that are worth sharing?

I just wondered Is all, Its a beutiful part of the world and it would be a shame not to bring a few photo memories back.

The main reason that I wandered by though was to ask a question, and that is do you know of an online resource (not necessarily free) that shows large people or even better fat people in all sorts of poses!! The reason is not that I have a strange and bizzare fetish (LOL!) I am just doing some Fantasy characters with old Santa in there too and need some better resources.

Dont worry if you cant help I was only wondering.

All the best to you and yours and I am glad you are back and posting again.

Hiya, Lightship - I don't usually take photos when I'm in Newfoundland. I grew up there, that's where all my family is - so it's not really a tourist visit. I'll throw a picture of my family yard in though- just cuz
I'll leave some vague comments about fat guys on your page lol.
