    Hmm...Hello, new user.

So, I'm new. Just signed up. I saw a link to this site and decided to check it out and looked at some of the critic. I decided I should join, heh. Since I rarely get critic on my stuff except a bit from my grandpa and my dad (he doesn't do art, but he's very good at critiquing and has helped me out a bit.). But I would really like to improve my work since I haven't done so in the past years...I've given up drawing for a couple of months and just recently got back into it (I looked at a lot of artworks and decided to pick up the pencil again.)
    Sorry for the long intro.

So here is a couple of my recent digital paintings:

    Hello

    Hello

Probably like the second painting rather than the first. Main reason being the background on the first is a little hard to read at first. didn't even notice the cell door right away, that with the skulls, noose and slit wrists were just a bit too much for me. While the second painting carried over a far better emotional feel by itself

Pretty cool mate just keep drawing. More and more then you'll start finding more things to think about with your art. I show my work to friends etc that arn't into art and get great honest opinions.

very depressing and morbid mind my friend, i would agree with Mr D on the first try blending background more into your image but still keeping it out of the focal.
the more you draw/ paint digital the more you love it just un-learn everything and re-learn it digital
