woot! I'm not that awful then!, still you're doing very well, i loved your latest teen challenge piece, in case i didn't say it either, and i'm too lazy to check out
good b/w studies, and i dunno if that's just me, but still lifes' are just way too boring, and that's bad because that's a good way to learn values ._.
keep it up! i think that maybe in the latest b/w her left eye should be in a higher position, considering the perspective you are using with the rest of the face =), but you say it was just for trying out ways of painting =)
ah, sorry about misjudging your age, and hope you can still paint in oils, soon i'll upload my first oils painting, which I'm very happy with, but haven't finished =)

Long time no speak. Kudos on the The darkness piece man looks really good. Just a little advice is to hit up some studies on the construction of the head it helps so much for identifying why it doesn't look right. Keep it up.
DHT is not the only one that does not like still lifes...Wonderful new piece man...keep it up. The group of yall i have subscribed to keeps me coming back for more. I'm personally still at the point where i need to draw everyday. Keep it up. Everyday you finish, your one day closer to your dream. You do have fans. =)
Later,
Ryan

Thanks all for your comments. Just a quick stop by. Will reply later.
Also, attachments seem to be not working.
Here is 3 little paintings that I did of my friend. Need to work on accuracy, and need to do some colour.

I like them. Focusing on the eyes always helps in getting a likeness.
Finally, get some time to do replys.
Blackspot- Thanks for the comment. Do you mean as a gesso? I don't really understand. And don't worry, I'm sure it will take a lot of time whether I want to or not haha.
weashell - Thanks a lot. I am pretty proud of it too. The more I look at it, the less I like it. But hey, all in time. Thanks for taking the time.
Abrodos - Very easy! Thanks for the tips, and I fixed that whole age thing. Cheers for the heads up!
deerinheadlights - Thankles. I think I might need to go at some canvases with sandpaper. Good idea!
hunchback - I always forget about flipping when working traditionally. Thanks for the tips, and the comment!
DHTenshi - Wow, thanks for the big stop in.I like still lifes. I think it is really interesting how much things you can change and simplify with artistic licence to make it looks better. Thanks again.
Dilated - Long time indeed. Thanks for the tips. I need to do loads of studies in general. I need to prioritise. Must make lists.
NewGuy22 - There are a few days I don't draw, and I will regret it later on in life! Thanks.
Black Spot - Thanks for stopping by. I have been trying quite hard for likeness. Been flipping a lot. With the little ones I thought they looked quite good, until the next day. I think this bigger one is not too bad though. Looks fairly like her.
Anyhoo. Thanks a lot for the comments. Huge help!
This is of my friend, she asked me to do it for her blog. Really awesome person. Check her out if you have time:

That's a lovely face and you've done it well regardless if it looks like her or not. She's a real person.
I was so certain I commented! Not cool.
Awesome work, the portrait of your friend reads very well!
Very nice atmosphere and mood to it too!
Keep cracckininginging! I'd like a serve of Imagination drawings please![]()
Wow, I'm lazy. I have done nothing colour wise in a long time, and I needed a boot in the arse. I got this, in human form. The best people are the ones that push you to a better life.
Blackspot - Thanks, I totally couldn't get her right, but there is no doubt I will try again.
Lilnebo- Thanks aswell. I need to do more drawing in general, but imagination stuff is one of my soon to be priorities. I am working on colour for a bit, then will go onto imaginative works. Cheers again.
A quick one for today. Better than nothing. This is one of those days where I am in a haze. Annoying! Trying both colour and a landscape. Working of the things that I need to. I also need to work on speed, but I know that it will come with time and practice.

Wow man I love your digital paintings! Your last enviro is well composed and the colours are nice. The last girl is absolutely adorable :3. Yuu make me wanna paint! Keep it up with those oils!
You've got some nice space and depth in the landscape. Colour feels right as well.
Lovely painting here!
I love the painting you done for your friends. But somehow, I feel something is wrong with the chin on the woman on the left. Or is it just me...

Sweet update. You're getting better and better.
Thanks Black Spot. Hopefully it will keep going that way.
I did some photoshop stuff. But it crashed.
Done more imagination stuff. Really hard. And some Daniel Studies of his sketches, because they rock.
Lovely linework and values. keep updating![]()
I hate it when the program crashes. Traditional stuff does have its advantages.
Nice line quality, keep studying and things will start to click.![]()

Hey everyone. Been a while since I updated. It is because I moved out, and am now self sufficient, just. It is quite hard, having to work 4 days and then have 2 days of college, then a heck load of college work each week. I just got the internet back, so now I can post what I do again. Woop. Thanks for your comments while I was gone.

Excellent update. Love the expression on the last girl.
Thanks a lot black spot!
Something I started on today. A self portrait, done using a photo.
wow nice improvement in this sketchbook here! Thanks for the great comments in mine, I think you have highlighted something I was aware of before but didn't pay much attention to. The improvement is awesome here and its obvious you are working hard (especially now you are moved out) Keep up the good work, I'll be back here! - now hurry and get to that 100 pages :p
