i've been following your advices and here's what i've created people. it's not finished yet. i gotta work on thighs and add some details i suppose. what do you think?

Nice work you got here, the cast shadows are too dark.
When painting in values keep this in your mind: the key to shadowing is the value, if you have the values correct the painting almost surely correct. But keep in mind anatomy and stuff of course

For the hair i would sugest blocking in the darkest color and going from there onto blocking the next values with a large brush haswell and then just in the final setps add the details like tiny hair highligts or strands of hair. Hair is quite dificult to do.

That grainy sketchbook paper you have is keeping your drawings from looking as good as they potentially could be, judging by your digital stuff. Switch it out for something better and see how it goes.

Work on them noses, too
