I had a great time doing this cover for JIM AND THE FLIMS by Rudy Rucker. It's a trippy novel by a trippy and brilliant author. The publisher is Night Shade Books. I have sketches and process shots on my blog if you're interested.

Fantastic art. They all tell so many stories, and with such emotions. Its really beatiful. Much of it remainds me of a norwegian artist called Terje Ytthjall. They have the same bizarr surrealistic feeling.
I am completely in love with your style.
Thanks Geir and Joe. Seems a lot of people across the pond in UK and Europe seem to like my work. You all must be strange over there.
Oh its a a strange world over here. Strange...
You would fit right in![]()
You can't stop me. I'm on a roll.

great stuff as usual. Thanks for posting.
You're too kind dpaint. Thanks.
THE JOUST is a wonderful image, even on the thumbnail it beams out at you as something intense. I love it to bits! You really ought to think of making a print of this along with a couple of others of yours - I'd buy it!

Your work reminds me of the artist called Mark Ryden, theres some similarities. Nice Job!
Thanks Chris. Maybe I will. Always looking for new images for prints.
Wozz-I'd be interested to know what of Mark Ryden you see in my work. Great artist to be reminded of.
I think it's the randomness and the emotion in the characters faces and the story/feeling captured in the paintings... I get the impression like I'm looking at interpretations of someones dreams. Really interesting concepts especially the early ones you posted.
I'll just keep posting new paintings until someone screams at me to stop.

very beautiful and such a unique style
Your work is really great! i really love! big talent!![]()
Thanks Pluto. Really sorry about the whole no longer a planet thing. Seriously, more work to come. Big show in the Fall.
Great body of work. Well done.
Wonderful illustrations! Very refreshing to see this much unique design. All of your illustrations are like very nicely tuned mechanisms. It's like my eye starts at where I think the story is being told. But as it is directed around, I pick up little artifacts that help me form a much better impression of the illustration. Very thought provoking all-around.
Thanks Nuge.
Ted - I appreciate the thoughtful words.
This thread is still rockin.
Love the jousting, so much to look at! I just realized one of their helmets is a big nose!
I also love the anatomy on the horned creature in your latest post.
I believe I asked you before what you make your works with, and you said acrylics right?
Very smart images, they grasp your attention and won't let go untill every subtle detail has been sucked up! Love that.

Pavel-thank you. I'll try to check out your stuff soon. Killer deadlines.
spaniard-thanks. Rich is a great word.
I never know what will influence me. I've always enjoyed black greek pottery. The lighter images against that black background just pop. I also remember a beautiful piece of furniture with chinoiserie decoration. Beautiful gold against black. I've been wanting to do a series of paintings against black. Here is a start. A silly start but a start none the less.
Just a Trim
These are something a little different. Distraction illustrations and drawings that I do in between paintings. I love what I do.
