Quick sketch with Painter X *shudder* The brush system is so intimidating.

Neat stuff. Particularly like the inks in what looks like a Moleskin, that wonderful sketchbook that hates water but can get some really nifty looking effects

Would love to see you punch up the saturation in some of your color pieces.

Dig the a lot of the black and white stuff. I'm a bit of a texture freak, so the collage-y pieces are fun for me

Thanks for stopping by mine by the way. Cheers!

Oh yeh and how goes it with the Lightwave? I take it thats Lightwave you're using??

I'm a bit of a beginner at it. Got it at work to do promo thingos for food packaging and its mega fun but the stuff we do is mostly like chicken trays and ham bags....nothing exciting like animating characters etc.

Freddy Scribbles: Saturation .... oooo, uhmmm which ones? I think my monitor is forked up.
n not moleskines, unfortunately. I just cut the corners that way. xP
If you like B&W, then a quick collaboration is in order.
Colours and textures are where everyone is at, so, I'm slothing my way there. Thank you for the feedback Freddy.

kittymeow84: A Lightwaver, sweeet. I don't see many of your kind much, ha. I'd rather animate in Maya, but
I don't have acccess to, so, Lightwave for now. If you've got characters you want me to move around, emailers
over and I'll start another collab with, one of many concurrently goin.

Amazing stuff as always, I really like the runner. How the leading edge is nice and crisp and the far edge is blurred just right, the nose and the face is a hair flat though, maybey a little more curve and overlap. Cedarseed has a simplified guide to anatomy that can help for a quick reminder http://cedarseed.deviantart.com/art/...-Body-15014442.

You probably did it on purpose, but the values of the color stuff is a lot different than the greyscale, theirs a nice check you can do if you take a layer of all grey and set it to hue to check the values. http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1252210764
Also with color Ive found color temperature to be very helpful for predicting the hue shifts with value, http://idrawgirls.blogspot.com/2008/...e-warm-vs.html .

The minotar also really cool the anatomy and perspective is great and I love the simple composition and green monochrome of the inks too.

Definitely want to see that light wave animation too. Keep up the awesomeness.

    Nice monochromatic pieces.

I laugh at the oddest things. I think learning art is sometimes taken miles too seriously. It is serious, but there should be a lot of fun on the way as we're doing something we love.

Nice to see another comment from you in my dsb, thanks for dropping by.
A lot has changed here since my last comment (I've been lurking though )

Good to see you are trying out all sorts of different media, and working on all sorts of subjects.

Since it's hard to give a good critique on such a big body of work, I'll concentrate on the latest.
The fish works the best. The wine bottle and glass also work well as silhouettes, but they are such an easily recognizable shape, it's almost a no-brainer.
It bothers me that they aren't on the same level.

I'm not even sure what the upper shapes are. Some sort of fruit and a croissant? Push the contrast, keeping in mind that the areas in which you have the most contrast will push forward, while less contrasting, less saturated areas will recede.
The fish is a little backwards in that respect, as that shiny spot on it's tail jumps forward.

Surfandsnow:Thank you and sweet pointers mate, nice.
(From IDG's link) "warm colors are said to arouse or stimulate the viewer"
Red apples man, they always ring my bells.
Animation will most likely take ages. Still looking for CG collab partners but I think
    they're all in CGTalk.
Black Spot: No arguements there, I keep that stick away from
my bumm as far as possible. It's getting a tad frustrating though, but no other way to learn. *snips/cleans your bangs*
ImaGEEnation: For every 50 images you post, I'll match it with my own 50. xP

(Please use email next time, and fer anyone wanting to get in contact [email protected] be moi.
As much as I love CA, I spend hours on it everytime I log on, and that cuts into nap times. Banned!.)

Hamsta: Milk bottle bro, milk bottle, hehehe.
Star apple and suppose to be bread (I failed, gahhh)
~Fish eats own tail by way of backward constrast~
Please don't get bothered with them not on the same level, they're sketches for the mo.
However, it would be interesting to be able to work them all into 1.
I always appreciate that brain and pair of eyes, thank you.

Thank you for the inputs and comments everyone. Let's have a relaxing end of year ey.
Well wishes to the pair of eyes that reads THIS- even if one is slightly smaller than the other. o.0
Happy End of Year (2010 looks like an odd number, suspect.)

I don't think there are any new keystrokes to learn, I think the site just is still upgrading. ......or we are not smart enough to figure out something everyone else knows.......... I'm going with site upgrade.
