    New website and artwork

    Hi all,

it's been a while since posting. A lot has happened around here, good to see that. I just wanted to share some new concept work and my newly updated website.

These images are from my own personal project I've been working on for a few years (on and off). Let me know what you think. (If I can get this upload manager to work first....)

    Thanks

it's amazing how far the digital art world has come in just a couple years. i mean only 4 years ago that level just wasn't a option. seriously take a minute and look at it like that. and then resume expanding what is possible. this goes for you seung and everyone else aswell! i'm inspired

Really great stuff. So tight yet so loose. How about a small tutorial on how you make it so painterly - is it "just" painter? Art Rage and Photoshop?

    Love it man

Thanks for your encouragement and replies. You are allowed to criticize!

Somnio is a personal book project I've been working on for a few years. On and off I should add. Mostly off since I've been very busy with work. Only last year was quite a productive one as I took on alot fewer projects and focused more on this. It is a collection of short stories, written by myself, mixed with artwork lke this. The level of finish of each image varies alot, giving it a more dynamic feeling than if all paintings were super polished. Some are "finished", some are rough, I personally like that mix.

Here's another quicker one just to show the range of quiality:

    http://www.seunghohenrik.com/tmp/pots.jpg

I wish I could share everything, but I'm going to keep some to myself. I'd like the book to feel fresh when (if?) published. Thanks for looking. I'll reply more later, now I'm off to the gym!

I'ts all Photoshop with a small mix of 3DSMAX for perspective. No painter or anything else.

    H

    Thumbs up

    * * * * *

I had never come across your work, but it´s some of the best I have ever seen for sure!

I am really impressed with the lighting and colors, but also your rendering technique.

I especially like the more painterly look in your concept art. Could you please explain some more on how you get such an effect?
And I think we would all be very happy if you could upload your photoshop brushset for us to mess around with. (I like the brushes you use of the trees etc.)

Wow! I hadn't seen stuff from you in a while (probably searching in the wrong places), but now you blew us all away with these brilliant paintings. Your technique is just amazing. Thanks for sharing.
