Sneak Peak... literally

so this is going to be rendered in the next few days since i really like it..but before I get started I'd like to know if the angle is right and if the composition works well...
added the tree to make the concrete/stone (medieval or asian..or mix..dunno) environment look a bit more organic and convincing and to give it a contrast...
I'll probably make it a night scene and contrast it with warm colours of a glowing fire (from where the guardian (or whatever guy) is standing)...she's supposed to be hiding in the darkness of the night ecxept of a bit of her upper body...uuuh the guy is standing with his back towards her

I think her right arm would be slightly more towards the front or back, rather than straight out to the side, for balance reasons. Pay more attention to the structure of the head, and how it attaches to the body. Looks a little strange in that area. It's mostly looking good though.

Oh also, shouldn't this be in the WIP section?

Hi Hygami,

I did a fast draw over to help illustrate some things.

1. Her head appears to be attached to her shoulders, so her head should be extended outward from the body and. Also her head is a little small.


2. The positioning of her legs is a little wonky, her right leg is too extended even with taking into account that you're going for some exaggeration in the pose.

Wow I'm very thankful for the overpaint! I'd agree with everything exept the where you positioned the neck, concidering her when she'd be standing the nack would be to long

awh i got one' the perspective is cool but ima bit confused is she on the second floor if not the tree is really short unless its a bush it might be cool to have the wall shes touch'n have some kinda perallel gaps in it 'arcatectural(spell check)... just try'n ta help w/ yo skills this should be epic

The right leg appears a little too tense. Jupiter's paintover illustrates a more natural pose. I find the pose to be a little in-between, though; perhaps rotate the leg so that it's further back into the darkness. At the moment it's hard to tell whether the pose is an "about-to-attack" pose or an "I'm-spying" pose. If it's the former, take the left leg and widen the stance slightly; if it's the latter, take the right leg and draw it back into the shadows a bit (Not bending the knee more, just rotating the hip).

Also, it may just be me, but the expression on her face seems a little too snarly. The eyes are perfect as they are, but the mouth could be changed to something more of contempt than a pout.

soo went a step furtherand changed the position, uhm, if you notice anything about the perpektive just let me know
gave her a bit of muscle definition becaue as a melee fighter she should be convincing....

hey its just an idea but what if you expanded the canvus a bit more on our left you could put in a rug or some thing it just seems like she is cuting the pic in half the extra empty space might help to balance it

Pretty cool, I dig the illumination and the pose but I'd reconsider her physiognomy, there's something about the eyes/nose/mouth that doesn't feel quite right...Hope this helps, I'm looking forward to see the progress.

This is just a small thing, but just for the sake of practicality, her dagger may be "backwards". Then again, she could as well be going for a stab in the back and... well, I dunno. *chuckles* I guess I'm just pointing out that if she's going to be delivering more than one blow, she might turn the dagger the opposite direction. Mostly a future reference kind of thing, because a lot of fantasy nuts would notice something like "Wow, it must be inconvenient to fight with the dagger in that position." Then again, maybe you are one, and you know precisely what you're doing... you tell me.

Your anatomy is nice. As I'm still in the process of learning to do a REALLY good dynamic figure myself, I can't say that I'm in a position to give full critique, but the lines and figure are very graceful. The thumbnail doesn't do this justice.

I think the reason the eyes seem a little off is that they angle downwards perhaps just a little to much and the right eye could move up and towards the centre just a tad.

I think its looking dam good. Keep going on it or if you are going to lay it down as you said dont leave it for long, maybe a day or two.
