My sketchbook http://conceptart.org/forums/sketchb...ketchbook.html
A true honor to step inside the secret hidden bright corridors, of your brainblowing majestic
artistic creative mind maze. Eye candies and sweet foamed soul food all around. I do make a
pause before I step into anything similar to this caliber. I make a dramatic silent freeze frame
in my life, I try to capture the essence of the ongoing enchanted moment. As a teenager I had
no internet, the internet was non existent, it was something like a VHS porn tape to an early
caveman. I didn’t appreciated nor I have shown no respect to the advanced research project agency
network back then. I was like whistling all around, making not much movement or use in my
lightly taken casual life. However near the end of the nineties, I knew that there are artists,
through the big lake, they are there, they are doing magic, which I could witness through some
hardly obtained magazines, and through that time tv screens. However I’ve never believed
or imagined that I will ever be able, to watch some of those artists, and their work almost
instantly and on demand. Communicate with them. It’s insane and impossible. Would surely
say that. But look at us now, some fifteen years later, I do have access to this material, to this
gold, I can browse, scroll and examine the steps that been made by the masters, at they highest
and best peak performance. All thanks to the modern technology, the almighty internet, and
of course the good willingness of these great artists. I went through so many mind battles and
emotional kickbacks, to get here, to say something that will not sound too casual, and to admire
these wonder pieces in a decent fashion. Your work and art legacy is a true example to all of us,
a big encouraging sign, which gives us hope and will, to continue thriving toward our dreams,
and to keep our minds and mental system on a safe level, throughout our whimsical unstable
sandblasted art journeys. Does anyone need a motivation or a motivational igniting spark,
all he needs to do is to click and to come here. This place, the collection of your pieces will
brake a new shiny dawn, will makes anyone heart to glow, will make a little sissy girl to
fight a bear and rip out his spine at the end. I like the boost and electric power gathering
up in my mind cells, as I go through your work over and over again. The jobs that you’ve been
working on lately, they are all fascinatingly majestic. I grew up on an eighties and nineties
movies, so as the industry go deeper in the future, I grew a bit of a spicy fright, deep inside
my belly. There are rare and few gems now, between the forest of greasy non-caloric crap-list.
Yes, they are some good movies here and there, but very few of them, and I mean very few.
I got older, I got greedy, I saw everything, I got served the silver plate versions of all the
new pieces, so I guess that totally spoiled me. I would need to do a big master reset on my
memory bank switch, so I could watch again a new movie, and feel amazed and satisfied
once again. But it’s just my badly shaped indigestable profane crooked believe system.
I jumped out from the main track, sorry because of this. I do know how to fly away, and
to go deep with sometimes pretty empty philosophy. Your art, and your good willingness
to share, is not respected enough, and I feel that a really few of them really give credits.
But I do, and I want to ask you kindly, not to stop with this master machine of a sketchbook.
Visiting we’ll be and thankful we’ll be all the time.
Take care, be good and never stop sharing your art.

Hey Mike - thanks for sharing. Your work is amazing.
Sorry to repeat a question from earlier, but...
Back in post 6 (and on your web site) you shared some of the posters you did for the Young Indiana Jones series for Lucasfilm back in the 90's. (How time flies!) Other than the seven (or so) paintings you shared (and thanks again!), did you execute the others that Lucasfilm used for the VHS releases, or did another artist contribute?
nexorableTash.
Thanks man, and I think the other paintings were done by Drew. I illustrated about 7 or 8 of them but I think Drew or the art director at Disney designed them.
Hi Mike, Great work. I very recently started checking your stuff out. Very inspiring and humbling, I got some drawing to do now.
Bubstar,
