Something I'd suggest is a little more interaction? Either between the dragon and knight or the dragon and the viewer. As it stands right now in profile view, the dragon itself is a bit boring and generic.
Haha, but I can definitely see improvement.

I like when you are doing naked studies.
And the color combination on the last dragon
    painting is exquisite.

Thanks for all of the encouragement everyone! Here are more studies; I finally got a lamp so expect to see more self portraits / still life soon.
I'm also going to be doing the ConceptArt 101 assignments this month.

Thanks odayga, definitely will! Here's a self portrait I just did, took about an hour and a half. First semi-successful self portrait in COLOR. I put it beside one I tried in the fall of last year, to show comparison.

Real big leap in quality between the two self portraits! The second one looks great and has some nice value. Nice work man.

great stuff going on in here. i was just telling one of my friends about your sb earlier cause i think your growth is tremendous!

one thing i want to encourage is working on the economy of your drawings. the more times you draw over the less alive things will look. the same thing with color. even if you take an extra minute to think about the color or line you are about to put down, realise that its important to try to get down something that you are confident about.

that psychological confidence shows in our work in a major way. if we dont make confident moves then our mark making will not convince our audience.

Hop over to Jaime Jones' website and take a look at his economy. Ide say that he is a great example of what i mean.

Hey bro, a year's work and your sp's have improved a lot. For your female faces, would maybe suggest to soften their jaws a touch, this should make them appear more graceful =) Okay, that's all I have to say for the moment, guud luck for the next year's worth of improvement Jeremy =)

    Nice improvement on the SP

Haha good load of figures, but the thing that bothers me about them are the stiffness, and the feet. Make sure you watch that next time you do them.

Thanks everyone, I definitely do need to work on my line economy.
I have been busy job-hunting and transitioning to life in Florida (which isn't so easy for me)
but I think I'm going to be back into the regular swing soon. I still need a desk and my art
supplies, but I'm going to make do with my tablet for now and printer paper, but no scanner
here yet either. I'll try to put up a lot of digital stuff soon. I am going to do some fan art
and some concepts for a friend, and maybe turn his short story into a graphic novel or
storyboard. I'm excited for the next month of working. Anyway, here's a study from Tangled.

Hey bro, hope Florida works out for you! =) Maybe a slightly harder brush for your works, could add a bit of an edge to things. In any case, keep pushing yourself, but have fun! =)

I dropped by here a couple of times but for some reason I haven't left feedback since I got back.
Which is odd, because I always liked your work and your motivation and it's awesome to see it has improved so much, the latest SP really shows it.
Did you post the Tangled study in the screencap challenge thread by Andrew Sonea? You should! The dress and the water reflection are awesome.

Keep it up, will drop by again

    Aryeh: Thanks man!
Odayga: Thanks, I'll definitely push the values in my next photo study
kungfoowiz: Thanks dude; I think the problem is that I need to just go back in and clean up edges because I do use a hard brush,
and also the images lose quality on here because I use tinypic.
    LtPlissken: Thanks!
Ariel9: Thank you so much, and I was unaware of the challenge : /

Here's just a quick study; it has some minor drawing mistakes but it was mainly for me to warm my hand up (I've been so busy job hunting and getting used to Florida that I'm starting to hate myself for not drawing enough : 0 )

kungfoowiz: Thanks man, that's extremely flattering! You really keep motivating me with your kind words.

odayga: I've heard people say it reminds them of an alien, Voldemort, etc. haha. I actually had none of that in mind when I did it, but sweet : P

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, my internet was down for over a month, and I've been moving houses, moving rooms, job hunting, and being sick. Life threw a curve ball at me, but I'm still working on stuff. Here's a small update, and I plan to keep this updated every week at least.

This is a study of my pencil sharpener, and a character sheet for the new ChOW I plan to participate in.

Voldemort and aliens huh? I was thinking Slenderman's cousin who drives a motorcycle.

Anyway, nice studies! I see what you were trying to do with the cast shadow of the sharpener, but the edges aren't transitioning right. You've got a hard edge and a soft edge that starts surrounding it, but the hard edge should transform into the soft edge. Also, seeing as how the beginning of the shadow is completely hard and black, I doubt the cast would disperse that quickly or completely. It gets softer as it moves from the source, but usually not that strongly.
Keep working hard, and good luck with the moving and all that stuff!
