Ooooh! I see you have been playing Halo 3 this summer.
Thanks Braintree and kungfoowiz. I'll definitely do more self portraits; I just need a good mirror and I can't find any that stand up that aren't expensive around here.
Anyway, here's some junk I got around to scanning

Hey bro! Your forms are looking pretty awesome, I like the back study and the masked guy with the gun in particular, it's really strong work imho. Thank you for sharing,, mm not much to crit at the moment, just keep kicking your own ass and having fun. =)
kungfoowiz: Thanks man! I've been busy with school starting up, but I'm definitely going to start getting more work out now that I'm getting used to my new schedule. Here's a quick photo study to get back into the swing of things

Good luck with school bro, I'm starting back again soon too..
Mmm, it looks like Johnny Depp. That's a really dark study, not much light there, not too bad. Have fun with your next study.
Thanks kungfoowiz; yeah it was from a really dark scene of Johnny Depp, glad you recognized him : ]
Here's some more junk from school / sketchbook

Hey bro, the update is looking reaaally good! The still life looks like an underpainting in umber I think.. in any case, it looks fantastic..
Is that Gimli in the greyscale study? Lols..
One thing to point out at the moment, the neck on your blue line lady, it doesn't look right.
Have fun with your next studies. =)
Yes that's Gimli kungfoowiz, and thanks! haha
Yeah, her neck might not be quite right; it's a study after daVinci so I'm not sure.
Here's a WIP from a tutorial

Hey bro
The colours are looking good there, and the initial paint looks pretty solid imho.
Be careful when you paint her hands, make them graceful, as a woman's would be.
I can't really say much more until you progress a bit further along..
Keep well bro.
Cool stuff! Love the studies!
But I do notice one thing though... Everything you draw always seems to be leaning to the left. It might be intentionally, but it might also just be a bad habbit, in which case you should watch out for it.
Keep having fun now! And thanks for posting. It's always cool to see someone progress!![]()
Careful about the shoulder on the newest one it's looking a bit big. Really diggin' the color scheme so far though.
Good to see you still pushing through. good stuff!
i can see your working hard. soon you will be even more awesome than you already are! keep it up!
Thanks for the comments everyone! I am still working, I just haven't updated in a while. I do need to kick it up again though, college has just been keeping me so busy. Here are some recent works that I have uploaded for now.

No worries bro, the values are looking fair, it looks like you're working on lighting in your paintings. Not really sure what to say.. as your colour is better than mine, but if I were to say something then it would be to explore adding more colours (value) to turn the forms.
Thanks kungfoowiz, I'll try that out!
Here are some master studies and a zombie

Nice traditional stuff, cool to see so many different mediums.. A few perspective issues with the still lifes though. My favorite one out of those is the bottle/cup/book.
Hey bro
It's been a while, think we both been a bit busy.
Mmm, you could look at doing some self portraits to iron out things in your face.
Good luck with your next study bro.
Thanks for pointing out those issues guys, I'll keep a better eye out next time. I've decided to do daily self portraits again, so that should help me out. Here's some recent stuff:

Really like where your work is going! Especially your self portraits!!!! keep it up! I'm diggin the style and improvement! go go go!
wow dude. you are advancing so fast! everytime i come here i see yo have made another leap. makes me want to get into an atelier!
i really enjoy your traditional work you seem to have a natural style that looks good with oils.
Thank you both so much for the supportive comments; I'm trying my best now to keep up with college homework and art at the same time. Here's some recent stuff

Hey bro
I'm happy to hear that you've started your dailies back up again there. Most noticeable thing I see is that you're making your eyes too big. Try drawing them a bit smaller than you think you need, and then you should be fine.
Okay bro, good luck with your next study.
lolbbq: Thanks again man; I really want to go to an atelier also!
kungfoowiz: Thanks, I'll definitely try to draw the eyes smaller and see how it goes.
I won't be putting every self portrait up on here due to lack of time to scan everything, but I'll be sure to put up self portraits when I can; but I will certainly be drawing one every day. I'll have a new update within a couple of days.
self portrait and fairly quick cast study

Hey Jeremy!
Eyes are looking a bit better, I think glasses distort the size though. Also keep looking carefully at the width of your lips as compared with the pupils of your eyes.
Cool, nice draw, and good luck with your next study! =)
Thanks kungfoowiz!
Here's some random stuff
