Thanks Braintree and kungfoowiz. I'll definitely do more self portraits; I just need a good mirror and I can't find any that stand up that aren't expensive around here.

Anyway, here's some junk I got around to scanning

kungfoowiz: Thanks man! I've been busy with school starting up, but I'm definitely going to start getting more work out now that I'm getting used to my new schedule. Here's a quick photo study to get back into the swing of things

Good luck with school bro, I'm starting back again soon too..

Mmm, it looks like Johnny Depp. That's a really dark study, not much light there, not too bad. Have fun with your next study.

Hey bro, the update is looking reaaally good! The still life looks like an underpainting in umber I think.. in any case, it looks fantastic..

Is that Gimli in the greyscale study? Lols..

One thing to point out at the moment, the neck on your blue line lady, it doesn't look right.

Have fun with your next studies. =)

Yes that's Gimli kungfoowiz, and thanks! haha
Yeah, her neck might not be quite right; it's a study after daVinci so I'm not sure.

    Here's a WIP from a tutorial

    Hey bro

The colours are looking good there, and the initial paint looks pretty solid imho.

Be careful when you paint her hands, make them graceful, as a woman's would be.

I can't really say much more until you progress a bit further along..

    Keep well bro.

    Cool stuff! Love the studies!
But I do notice one thing though... Everything you draw always seems to be leaning to the left. It might be intentionally, but it might also just be a bad habbit, in which case you should watch out for it.
Keep having fun now! And thanks for posting. It's always cool to see someone progress!

No worries bro, the values are looking fair, it looks like you're working on lighting in your paintings. Not really sure what to say.. as your colour is better than mine, but if I were to say something then it would be to explore adding more colours (value) to turn the forms.

Nice traditional stuff, cool to see so many different mediums.. A few perspective issues with the still lifes though. My favorite one out of those is the bottle/cup/book.

    Hey bro

It's been a while, think we both been a bit busy.

Mmm, you could look at doing some self portraits to iron out things in your face.

Good luck with your next study bro.

    Hey bro

I'm happy to hear that you've started your dailies back up again there. Most noticeable thing I see is that you're making your eyes too big. Try drawing them a bit smaller than you think you need, and then you should be fine.

Okay bro, good luck with your next study.

lolbbq: Thanks again man; I really want to go to an atelier also!
kungfoowiz: Thanks, I'll definitely try to draw the eyes smaller and see how it goes.

I won't be putting every self portrait up on here due to lack of time to scan everything, but I'll be sure to put up self portraits when I can; but I will certainly be drawing one every day. I'll have a new update within a couple of days.

    Hey Jeremy!

Eyes are looking a bit better, I think glasses distort the size though. Also keep looking carefully at the width of your lips as compared with the pupils of your eyes.

Cool, nice draw, and good luck with your next study! =)
