Muklutz' Sketchbook(My 10000 hours starts now)

Hi my name is Robin, i am starting this sketchbook in hopes of improving my anatomy knowledge,design and digital painting skills. And one day i hope that i can become a good enough to make a living out of it.
I'll start off my sketchbook with sketches/studies i did these 2-3 days and i will try post daily if possible. Hopefully make a few friends and comrades along the way.

Head studies of 5-10mins , gestures from posemaniacs(15s-45s), hand drawings from bridgeman and photo references and some composition thumbnails.

Hey hey! Not a bad start. From what I can see in your photo studies, your values are a bit off. Also, there are some issues in the draftsmanship of your portraits - I'd recommend, after finishing them, put a grid on top of the source photo and your painting, see where the mistakes are (you could even redraw on top of the painting to show what the line drawing should have looked like). Make mental notes of the mistakes and how you can improve on them.

Keep posting. Many hours still to be put in!
