Ok, just a small update, my contribution to the CHOW of this week, Saladin.

    Final :

    WIPS:

Strybjorn : Thanks, here you are
Tom van der Linden : Thanks, yes the enviro is a bit too busy as you say. For the brushes, actually I use different brushes, But I always try to use brushes that gives a traditional feeling.
Often I put the Opacity to pen presure, and I put to dual brush (I prefere it to textures) Maybe because it gives a more traditional feeling
Dished : Thanks ! really like what you're doing lately
B-Man : Wow man really a huge compliment ! Thanks

    Hey Mark,

Nice stuff, and gets better with every page.

The archer on page one is my fav. I like that the eye see the bright patch and then SURPRISE, i see the archer shortly before i get arrow right in the eyeball.

    More please!

cool stuff man I really like what you are doing with patterning things, especially in this one with the background, and jacket...and besides that, it's just really adorable hahaha I hope she was pleased with it.
I know it's just a sketchbook, but I'd like to see you push the finish of your work to a more refined state. It seems like you could push most of these a bit further cleaning up a bit more, but maybe get bored/run out of time

and u should really do some studies of boots/shoes. Right now they are all looking like potato

great work is coming , i predict , from what i see , still you have some glitches here and there , for instance , the commanders hand , kinda lacks shadows and contrast , hands are important in a character , their the second thing a viewer looks at after the goes over the face , if the illustration/character is proper and something else doesn't distract him on the way , take care
