    Thanks for stopping by my SB, sir. I really like the color gamut studies you've done for your environments in the recent posts. Really goes to show just how subtle color changes can really alter a mood for a piece of work. You were wondering about line work, and while it's tough to get solid, clean lines out of PS, there are some things you can do that will help (other than practicing freehand straight lines with pen and paper, of course). 1. Rotating the canvas in PS is a MUST for me, if I'm going to get straight lines. And a nice little "cheat" that I've found is that if you can line up whatever line you want to stroke to be parallel with the top of your screen, you can hold shift while you draw your line and it'll come out straight as well as controlled with whatever sensitivity you want. I use this when the lines are rather long and hard to hit and I don't feel like attempting a perfect straight 100 times in a row to get that one line. 2. The history brush is your best friend from now on, if he isn't already. Being able to stroke a line as boldly and confidently as you'd like to and have the ability to go back and clean up what you'd like to without worrying about erasing other lines is pure gold when doing clean lines, so start using that to your advantage. 3. Masks. This one's more for rendering than linework, but masks allow for those sharp edges that are near impossible to get freehanded on a tablet. Use them to save time and headaches. Other than that it all comes down to repetition and good practice, which you're certainly doing so just keep it all up.

    this vehicle concept is totally awesome!!! In terms of light and shadow the previous version works better, simply because you altered the values [consiously or unconsiously] by adding the green shapes. Now what mostly happened is that in the previous version, the foreground basic object was mainting the higher contrast and darker values and that separated from the background [so the result was pleasing]. In the current version you changes the values somehow and now the elements are not as readable as the previous one, so the eye gets distracted and tries to figure out whats happening, so the visual value drops.
    Good stuff from mr frenik. Man to concept pragmatika gamaei, keep up!!!

    @MrFrenik
    Thanks for the advices with those techniques! To be honest i never used the history brush tool (only sometimes by mistake!) but i think its not too late to revise and start experimenting with it! As for the masks, i never understood how they can work. I just kept adding new layers and erasing them at 20% opacity. Better try experimenting with masks then too

    @King!
    I think you are right. The previous version is more enjoyable for the eye, but i made the second version cause i thought that the vehicle was not connected with the (empty) background. (although i worked with them both at the same time!)
    Thanks about the values-comment. I forgot about that, i was only thinking in colour. On the next sketch I will start sketching a bit in greyscale (like you told me the other day!) till my eye understands the values better!

    In this part i tried to keep the sky less saturated, in order to focus on the vehicle. (in order to created a colourful with a limited palete illustration)
    hmmm any ideas?

    Hello! Thanks for dropping by man!

    I like the color exploration with these latest vehicle thumbs but I must say, you are losing the vehicle amongst all the "atmosphere" you've been adding to the image. It has made the whole image flat and we can less of the vehicle. Bump up the contrast on the vehicle some and also push the sky back with values (lighten) or make the car darker (or both), whatever works best. Maybe you wanted to flatten the image, but I thought it (the vehicle) was looking much better in the first image. The mood was better in the second image and it did show some of the vehicle but even then we were losing some of the vehicle.

    Anyways, these are my thoughts man. Keep experimenting and playing around.

    Cheers mate!
