hmmm, talking about those two sketches, I've got feeling that you should have decide what form of expression you use

    line or shape
and stress one more to give them more volume
now it appears to be just stared line work

don't get me wrong, everything is drew well, but there's something missing

love the new header, the previous pencil studies look good mate, your hand gains solidity and that is good. your anatomy has improved as well.
imaginative work mixed with studies should produce results try it more often.

Here's a pencil study, I failed badly with this one, guess my focus was elsewhere :

Another painting study, this time done in Corel Painter:

A head lay in, left some construction lines in there:

    Doodling:

I rarely feel satisfied with my art, but I kind of like this one, I guess:

Swietne rysunki, Pawel. I always loved your lines and damn, you never failed to prove me right. Both, stylized and realistic work is fantastic. For me this is a pretty flawless knowledge about anatomy that you're showing. Though, me saying this shouldn't be valued at all, hehe!

Are you working as a freelancer now? To be honest, I just remember you studying Animation and recently trying to make it abroad to the US.
Anyways, keep these beautiful pencils coming and all the best for 2013!

    Hey there man!

Dziekuje bardzo za cieple slowa. Well to be honest i haven't been working in the industry for quite some time now, and frankly i dont' want to, not yet.
I kinda share Brad Rigney's attitude of " you'll know when you're ready" and i feel that I'm not ready. I'd like to do some stuff for the guys from Wizards of the Coast and for that i need way better skills.
As for my education, It's generally like it has always been. I sit in front of my books or my monitor and study on my own. I tried to obtain a travel US Visa, but the embassy worker ( after a 5 min or so* chat ) decided that i do not qualify for one, for whatever reasons... I guess the dude had a bad day or something or he was a prick in general. I'll try again in two months or so, i really value american style of figure drawing
You know the Loomis/Reilly one, so I don't plan on givving up that easily. Stay tuned!

Cole Having this fine lad in a sketchbook of mine is a true honour boys and gals )

    will123will Thank You!!

Danny Yeah i feel that I should be doing more imaginary stuff, but i've got some illustrations coming up, I simply have no idea when i will work on them some more, i'm kinda sick atm so that has to wait. Winter... ehh.

Here are some ugly sketches with ugly noses, some are couple of minutes quickies.

The " Szkice Węglem " which means Charcoal Drawings text is simply a placehlder not an actual typography. That's an idea for a symbolic more minimalistic book cover. Plus a folds study.

Very nice pencils. Those two figures are really impressive interms of line and implying form.
    Really cool stuff!
    My journey

“I’ve just neverbeen good at drawing _____, so I never draw ______.” This is a circular logic offailure that a person will never escape. If you wish you were better at drawing _______, draw it!
If you aren’t very good at _______, and avoid it, you’ll never getbetter at drawing _______! This attitude is setting yourself up for a lifetime of nevergetting good and enjoying _____.

good lines, and faces are getting so much better. make sure you are getting enough sun in the winter sun= vitamin D and that's the reason people are sick more in the winter because it's so cold and there is not much sun or people just don't go out much, try to supplement yourself with vitamin D and C if you don't have much sun in Polan at winter time.
    Health and respect bro.

    hücumkedi Thank you

    Yemi775 Apreciated, here's moar!

    TomSeas Glad you like it.

Danny_K Oh man you know exactly how shitty winter can be here don't you? :d
I need to get some vitamin D supplement, as there's no sun at all. I haven't seen it in weeks, there's this steel sky all the time, and now it's few degrees above 0 in celcius so it's raining instead of snowing. That's why i wanted to go to california for watts winter term, to escape from this crappy weather haha.
I've recieved the invitation letter from the Atelier, and I'll by going to the US embassy for a second try in couple of weeks, so keep your fingers crossed!.

I'm participating in a facebook group called February sketchbook challenge, each day new sketchbook page ( or digital painting if you choose to )
    I'll be uploading in packs.

    Day1

Day 2 ( Wa really sick that day, hence only this crap )

Day 3 ( this one's from imagination Danny, altho I've used some refference for the lighting scenario )

Day 4 Dusted off my old moleskine, last time i did a pencil mark in that bad boy was eaarly 2010? faar too long....

Bit late but I love the pencil head in #1417, the first one. That's just really cool rendering. And you must know this but that hand painting is beautiful. Love the hand sketches/lines before it too, they remind me of Bargue. Actually, most of your drawings have that sold, but minimalist atelier feel. That's really amazing.

You mentioned an invitation to atelier in the US? Which one? That's very exciting! :D

yeah dude, get some vitamin D and c supplement, if you got no sun your only other option is to go to a tanning salon to get that vitamind D but only if you have good healthy nutrition with plenty of antioxidants that way your body will convert the ultra violet light into vitamin D, i'm telling you bro health is everything, since I started feeling better my motivation sky rocketing and my concentration and memory is way up and imagination and creativity has received a good boost as well.

kingkostas Glad to see you here man! And thanks

JesseM Thank you Jesse, well I kind of lean towards fine art and illustration more nowadays, maybe that influence shows thru. As for the atelier.
It's called Watts Atelier, a small private school in a coastal town Encinitas in southern California.

Yemi775 Cheers Yemim, you keep pushing it yourself, yeah?

Danny_K By all means I'm not a healthy man, and i know the value of it.
Will follow your instructions matey, you seem to know bloody alot about it ^^
