Wow nice stuff. You've got some solid designs in here. Cool outfits.
Those enviro thumbs are great. I really should start doing those myself.
It looks like a lot of fun.
I also like the way you studie muscle groups from those gesture photos.
Christoffer: Thanks man, I'm really trying to push my design sensitivity so I appreciate the comments
Here are some thumbnails for upcoming Epocholypse illustrations / concepts. "Starchild" , a sort of sci fi city surrounded by glacier and tundra, and ancient jungle temple in the mountains.

danlambert: Thanks man, I'm happy the colors are speaking to you. I've been trying a new approach to color, by mostly holding back. It seems to be working a bit.
Nettle: Thanks man, yea I'm excited to see the girl illustration through
Matija Vuk: I'm doing well! It's good to hear from ya. I'll have to make a stop by your sb soon and return the love.
Arteast: Thank you very much. I try to push myself, I'm just happy to draw things I think are cool.
luthertaylor: Hahah, well ass pats excepted I'll keep pushing.
"The Oracle" Part 1 of 2
Floating before an altar constructed of stars and void, the last remaining prophet inhaled the ether of space. Gazing into the expanse with an inner light that pierced time, she beseeched the Gods, seeking the guidance that eluded so many before her.

"The Oracle"
Floating before an altar constructed of stars and void, the last remaining prophet inhaled the ether of space. Gazing into the expanse with an inner light that pierced time, she beseeched the Gods, seeking the guidance that eluded so many before her.
For an instant the universe stood still as The Oracle received an spark of divine clarity - hope that she might save humanity. She turned to Earth, taking in its swirling beauty for a brief moment, and then soared towards the surface to track down the Chosen Eight.

No idea how you painted that last one, but it's fucking awesome. This is the part where I ask you for your TAD knowledge again..specifically about sci-fi design ;p
Really getting good, dude. The last few show a better understanding of volume and light/shadow. Interested to see where you go from here... you're doing well.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet - Abe Lincoln
How good are you?

Dan: Thanks man! It was mostly hard and soft brushes just built up. I use some soft light layers as well. I'm still pretty noobish when it comes to sci fi design. I just gather reference material and go to workThink shiny, sleek, small lights. That's all I've got so far.
P Sage: Thank you sir. I'm interested to see where I go too! I have some key ideas to focus on during this last semester at TAD, specifically strong design and ideation. Secondly coherent color unification.
I went back and reworked an old concept piece to bring it up to standard, had fun trying to push it. Just finished up some thumbnails for a client as well. I'm excited to see this concept to final![]()

sweet sketchbook man, and really awesome work on these last few pages, you've progressed alot. The sci fi designs, weapon concepts and beautiful use of colour are inspiring. Great job.
Warburton: Thanks man! I am enjoying the sci fi work I've gotten to do lately. It's a genre I want to keep pushing for sure.
Just started my last semester at TAD, super exciting stuff. I can't wait to get started pushing and developing my own IP even further. I'll be busy with some confidential projects over the coming months, but I'll try to update when I can show work. For now here are some enviro sketches.

nice designs and cool environments!
awesome sketchbook, every page theres something else I need to remind myself to do x)
love how you did this one< envy your PS skills, I did a study using the same head today but my method wasnt as slick (old school brush tool)![]()
>>Sketchbook<<
Kevin: Thank you sir, I've been trying to push my environments
Tofa: Thank you!
So it's my last semester at TAD and I am pumped. I'm really started to grind away on my own IP "Epocholypse". Eventually I will be starting a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to start a digital art book and a few products like prints, posters, and stickers. That and my daughter was just born on 9/10/12. Skyla Rose Calloway. I'll be doing some drawing of her soon.
Here is some character progress for Epocholypse as well as some study and other freelance work.

Nice new updates man, especially the master copy.
Big big fan of Trish Carn! Character design seems to be your strongest point.
Rock on!
very nice study, the only thing you missed and I think it's important is the shape and color of foreground leaves
they are the most detailed and plays important role
generally great designs and characters, but you use always the same B&W key, try sth new like high contrast, just vary the gray scale
cheers![]()
Mr.Pryminista: Thanks man, yea I enjoy character design the most. I really need to push my understanding of anatomy, gesture and design to really flourish though.
takashmen: Thank you. That's a great crit. I'll revisit the study. Yea I agree on the value schemes. It has been pointed out to me by others and I'll look to remedy it for future designs.
I'm having troubles getting a sb icon to show up under the forums, if anyone has an idea of what I can do I would appreciate it. Some speed painting and tonalist photo studies.

Some more character thumbs

More character thumbnails for Epocholypse. On to roughs next

Here are some character roughs. After getting a better understanding of how to utilize storytelling I'm going to have to repose / repaint this character, so I thought I would just show the progress and not spend more time cleaning these ones up.
