Hey Peepz.
I'm Toey (nick already taken) aka "nazgool". Nice to meetchu :]
Three weeks ago I started to do the serious daily drawing thing - I started a blog, I swore by the bones of ol' Loomis, I told many people - the usual stuff (to keep keep keep you doing it). But of course it was about fun, too.
I'm sketching since I'm 9 years old and now, ten years later, I'm preparing for the studies of graphic design. The last 3 years I focussed on 3D Modeling (driven by some teenage polygon addiction, as my old portfolio proves) and slowly, also by having some commercial practice, noticed the importance of such basics as conceptional theory, fine arts and a good developed personal stroke. Even if I won't use my drawing skills directly in future design jobs I know they are the creative basis for any precise and working design, aint they?
So, in fact i'm not starting the usual sketchbook thing but a project with a mission, better say: missions. The first mission went successful so far: to draw every day. Proving myself (and some gurus watching me) the necessary discipline to actually do this I focussed on new missions: 1st, to learn the human anatomy, 2nd to learn sketching on my graphic tablet (Bamboo ^^), 3rd to find the personal stroke, a characteristic unique style.
Well, as I'm seemingly knowing what to do (and having all the motivation for) you may ask, what more than "Keep it going!" could help me. The answer is: of course I need feedback and could especially use some critics on my body studies. And surely you have an opinion on my way of learning to draw - tell me! Crits and Feeds are welcome!
(in return I promise to be an active member and share my thoughts)
