Great work!
This joker looks great.
Good job with the perspective and the motion of the cards and the figure itself.
Nothing to critique.
Perhaps only to give his clothes a bit more texture?
But great job! =)
Keep it up!
silwynar: thank you, yeah you're probably right, i'm trying to incorporate more "texture" into my work in the future, i'm currently only using soft and hard brush. doing studies on that.
some studies from today, first, to get a feeling for leather, and last two on colors and beeing more effective with less strokes and steps.. (cintiq is not as good as my calibrated monitor i see :/)

Those cloth/texture, and skin and eye etc studies are really good! Love the detail on the moto-cross helmet, shoulder pads etc on the previous page.

Great sketches and studies, you seem to know your anatomy. That Joker's really cool too. Hope to see more imagination stuff in the future.
awesome work! love the 3D piece and the textures you slapped on that armor! sweet!
post more!

some selected studies from the past days.. but also took two days off due to public holiday and some things i had to sort out
also, i will do some 3d projects in the next weeks, so not to much to expect :/
i think i get more confident with my pencils, but still need to work a lot more on rendering, line quality and not rushing.. and everything else for sure as well
pages mixed, from imagination & ref

heavily heavily inspired zhang lu study.. analyzed some paintings and then tried to repaint one from imagination.. doing 3d for freelance again is exhausting.. didn't get anything done last week, hope this week will be better, aiming for one study each night

You're working hard, and it shows. Amazing progress!
I'm loving your gestures, spot on.![]()
kay, i hate 3d freelancing, much to exhausted in times to draw as much as i want, but no excuse anyway..
here's some stuff done over christmas holidays

really great sketchbook. keep doing what you are doing. is 3d modeling a great help by understanding and constructing the human body 2d on paper? icy hoffe ich werde eines tages auch solch ein improvement sehen![]()
Tamaira2011: yeah 3d modelling, or sculpting in Zbrush especially helps you build and train your anatomy knowledge, but conquering the software in itself is another thing.. so .
still drawing aside from work sometimes.. need to get some more free time
algenpfleger study, color study from tv, heads from ref and imagination and a spider as well as face value painting from imagination
![]()
Nice head studies; the lines and curves are super smooth, you have a great flow there. I think I should do same face studies as well, thanks for reminding me!![]()
