My pal Ken brought this to my attention and I thought some of you may be interested. This seems like a lot of fun, plus it should be a great chance to do some networking. I'm gonna try to go... I do have the day off work, but its on a saturday and buses run every hour (as oppose to every half hour) and it'll end up taking me over 2.5 hours to get there....

Cost: Suggested donation $10
WHEN: Saturday Dec. 6, 2003 ALL DAY (9am-9pm)
WHAT: 4th Annual DRAWING JAM
This feeding frenzy of figure drawing features 12 full hours of interactive art.
Sketch from three floors full of figure, portrait and costumed models in a variety of long and short poses.
Make your mark in a do-it-yourself self portrait gallery.
Give your family first-hand experience with art-making in the kids art room sponsored by Dakota Art Store – where kids can try their hand at still life drawing, collage, or portraiture under the guidance of the Academy’s professional youth instructors.
While the Drawing Jam runs for a full twelve hours, the free art supplies are available only while they last, so get there early and join in the fun.
