i compared your 30 second drawings with mine, how come yours look like a pro and mine like a 5 year old?! aaarrggh!! keep up the great work!
Lav You will get better in no time, just stick to it. I kinda missed my assignments already, but I am going to get back into 30 sec poses tomorrow.
Some sketchbook pages. Trying to fill this fucker up, so that I can add it to my portfolio.
Hey Janos!
I rekon you should try out the Reilly method for your portraits, It really helps understanding planes and light/dark shapes on the face. OR at least a good method for shwing them. I really gotta get me one of those Asaro heads.
kick ass creativity,bro,keep on going
i'll update my sb today,
nice work!!!!
Lg Andreas
Cam Sykes Thanks so much. I did some Reilly studeis just now, I am gonna post them tomorrow.
For now, some more sketchbook pages.
Sketchbook stuff. Thanks Mr. Alamo, C for mentioning me in your sketchbook next to the likes of Jana!
Some Reilly faces.
Nice updates Janos. The posemaniacs are looking good and that Reilly is not bad for a first attempt. BTW.... I think that's my Uncle Albert getting a lift from the tortoise lol!! Keep pushing yourself my friend.
nice update, keep those studies up!just out of curiousity, how long do you sketch a face like that in the studies?

Turbosnail Yeah, Albert was so nice to pose for me. He kinda did not like being on a tortoise though!![]()
Lav Thank you. I actually did them while watching the video posted above. I watched it a few times. I guess 5 minutes each...
Mr.Alamo, C. Danke! Thank you!
zerdron Thanks!
So.
I have been waiting to attempt photoshop work for a while now, just cause I wanted to study more. Then I thought.... to learn how to use photoshop I need to actually use it! So I just started doing fast dirty sketches. And it is so much fun. I also decided to go black and white for now. Its just a lot easier for fast sketches.
These are for a project I am working on with a friend. Basically its just different character concepts to explore clothing and fashion of one particular race/people. They are our equivalent to real life Mongols only that they integrate straw into their clothing a lot and wear masks at war.
Here the first one in the series: The Warriors.
wow they are very nice and clear designs. really like the armour youve made looks fab : )
Great stuff. Just some more highlighting would be in order I think.
Keep it up!![]()

The wall paper background with faces and simple line drawing in the front is very interesting. Cute turtle.

The magic the gathering they cleric designs that use hay as mask and cloaks too. I like yours it has a almost samurai armor tribal feel to it.
Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

wooow man, what is this? Taking big leaps while I'm not getting anywhere. Shiet! I have to work more!
Great concepts, can't you toss some crazy bright colouring on the last ones, I'd like to see that. And, I won't say keep it up, because I know you will do that anyway.
Peace!
great charasheets, man, you have a favor for all this ethnical kind da stuff,
in contrast with my tits, neets and bolts looks all of my works like technical drawing or bringing shit out of secondhand-boutique,you rocking, pale
keep on inspiring,alter

Hey man, good stuff in here, though that pose on the archer seems strangely familiar....
-E
KingKostas You think? Thank you!
Lav Not quite yet. For now its just hundreds of thumbs!
Grandmassa Mr. Spect Thank you!
pigeonkill Definitely inspired by MTG. We wanted a similar feel, though these are pretty much mongols in a similar fashion so they do not share more similarities.
teapo Do that!. It helped me in those thumbs, to see shadows as defniable areas and connecting them.
[B][Peetaer/B] Thanks!
Vloth Colour isn't on my schedule in the coming weeks. First its hundreds of thumbs. We basically have 20 multifaceted cultures worked out, and they all need some developement concepts so its just thumbnailing atm.
Rendering and Colour probably in the future though. Thanks for the compliment! Keep working!
Mr.Alamo, C. Danke, hehe. Hab das zwar nicht alles verstanden, aber danke!
Mischeviouslittleelf Yes, sry for not mentioning it. I was having a hard time finding a good relaxed archer pose. I have yours in one of my many inspiration folders, its just that I had forgotten who it was by....Sorry again for not aknowledging you. I borrowed the pose for my purposes, hope its not too big of a deal. Oh and thanks for the inspiration man. Your brushwork is pretty much were I want to get to in the future!
Thanks a lot for all the support. More is coming!

frohes schaffen![]()
Man, I know that I don't comment here quite often, but that doesn't mean that I don't keep an eye on you.
I really like these last batches, quite creative and nice rendered.
On the traditional media, I'd say that you should be more patient with your pencils, because sometimes they look kind of rushed
Keep it up!!
