i think an opportunity area is adding a third vanishing point on those skyscrapers, it would help achieve a more dramatic look. nice organic brushes, keep posting!

your last two are looking really good. I feel like the colors look a little fake though, there's too much saturation through the whole pieces. the textures came out great though.

Don't be too hard on yourself man, your speed paints are all really nice! If you keep this up for the rest of the year you'll be able to make sweet stuff in your sleep

I do have a crit though, which is quite unusual. But the grass on the cliffside in post #8 could use some value change. It is all the same color at the moment, dropping or raising the value would really help it out. Other than that it looks great!

hi, i think you are already good at "this". yourpictures show that you have an understanding of how to look at things. as andrade said, add things like a third vanishing point, to go beyond what is there and make life dramatic keep goiung
oh and yes maybe try to do a painting without any special brushes just take a round or oval shaped brush and do everything by hand, this could add to a more painterly look (if you like to do this i dunno^^)

Some really nice colours and enviros. I guess I will start doing some of those as well soon. Do you paint them completely from imagination or look at reference pictures?
The skin colour of your figure study is too muddy, try adding more reds and yellows.

The latest ones are great, the colors in them are perfect. They're all believable even though they are quick and loose.

How long are you typically spending on each of them?

nice speedies, colors and brushwork are great!, i do the same ,1 studie per day during lunch haha, hmnmm well i cant crit but give u advice maybe , try doing 2 but at smaller size in the same amount of time if what you want to rpactice is valkues and colors, and keep doing big studies like that if you want to spend more time studying textures and details.. anyway keep it up, great stuyff !

All the pics so far in here were about an hour, I try to limit myself and focus on getting a procedure down and how to represent stuff without modeling and mucking it up. Some are from my head and some are based off pics. I can work from ref pretty good but I'm trying to get better at the imaginative stuff so for every reffed pic or figure I try to do similar stuff from my head to memorize the shapes and interesting characteristics I was learning from the ref.

Good advice too, thanks for looking, hopefully I will start doing some cooler stuff and actually do an hour a day of practice.

I really admire those who do enviros...i always forget about them! come time to do a full scale painting my backgrounds are always lacking...

you really choose some nice brushes, and i like that you try to solidify information from reffed works in your head...i think that's important.
