Hey you
Way to go on the updates! Keep it up! I'll even bust out the pom-poms to cheer you on! This is fabulous to see you going strong still. My only advice to you would be to remember to pay attention to what you're doing and avoid going on autopilot although I don't even know if this is a legit concern for you. Be sure to really look at what you're doing and absorb it. It's almost like 'feeling' the drawing as you're creating it. Practice is good. Getting it to stick is better.
Also, you should definitely check out www.sketchoholic.com if you haven't already. And ImagineFX's website has some wonderful free tutorials many of them from artists from CA.

about shadow effect
Try to use 4 tones.
Light tone (the brightest - use paper itself)
half tone
shadow (the darkest)
reflection
I found this technique yesterday. It convinced me a lot.

Cool stuff! Continue with the studies and I think you'll improve greatly! Keep up the good work.
Busy with college; moreover, my scanner/fax/printer broke, so I'm borrowing this one.

Loving those birds of yours! Keep going!
I love the movement and life in your quick sketches, there really confident and it's one of those things about drawing that's hard to teach/learn if it doesn't come naturally. How long have you been doing life drawing for and are you taking classes?
Aside from just practicing all the time (which it looks like your doing already) try working on your details more, such as hands feet and faces especialy. ImaginFX has some good tutorials on features on the face, but have a look on DeviantArt too. Plenty of good tutorials there in different styles and there all free.
Keep it up!![]()
I was leaving anyway... have any of you got shoes?

I brought Wacom Bamboo, so I'm practicing making line and basic shapes, and a set of sketching pens; good thing is that they don't bleed when I'm drawing with my sketchbook; anyway, a few plants, lines, squares, and people.

I saw those blind contours up top, I'd really recommend to keep going with those, they'll help tremendously, keep up all the studies though putting the time in always yields good results. The one thing blind contours will build is confidence in your line, and that in turn will eliminate making one mark with seven or eight and allow you to just throw that line down like BLAOW! cheers.![]()
Thanks for the help, Metal Fingers. I'm not bitching, but I have motor skill problems, mainly Hemiparasis.
Working on lines is something I am really trying hard to improve, moving my whole left arm while drawing. Secondly, if there are too many line attempts it's because I usually don't like to erase my lines.
