    Post Workshop Sloth

Hey dudes, so a lot has been going on since I got back from the workshop.
I got so much inspiration from the event it bled into other aspects of my life.
My portfolio was torn apart at the review at the workshop so I decided to start a new sketchbook focusing on developing technique.
I've also got a been VJing (Visual DJing) at clubs using the knowledge I gained from the workshop.
And my god it is fun.

And yeah I really want to be good at what I do so any advice would be helpful.

Ok so apples and statue are from life and the Study is after William Bouguereau. Spending a lot more time on things really helps.

    Awesome.
    D:

Love the girl, albeit the iris might need some work. she looked kinda...creepy, in a psycho kind of way. But even in this step, the details are simply great.
And the apple looks tasty. Nyum.
the statue's legs, IINM, looks too short but maybe it's because of the angle.

I would love to see more.

Wow, nice detail the texture's great ! ^^

as for anatomy, sorry if I'm being cocky but I think the space between the eye is too narrow and it ended up making the head looked bigger. IMO, the nose, lips, and right eye (the ...eye on the right side of the picture, ugh. forgive my English) should be moved a little bit to the right.

The rest is great though! XD

Dude nice update. Bouguereau is the man, and that's a great study. I think it may look closer to his original if you used some stronger edge contrast, like using more faded and blurred edges. It seems like every thing is very sharp. And the apples are amazing, I remember seeing you post them somewhere before and I was blown away. Keep going man things look good.

Been very busy Vjing at clubs and events but im making time to get back to studying.
I don't even use Painter X at shows anymore cause usually we only have 1-2 hours, so basically I use half video mix/scratch and Alchemy for the other half.

We supported Z-Trip at a show recently

Yeah people were dancing so hard that you couldn't see through the windows because of the condensation...eww...

    Block in for Willy's Dante.
This is what I believe to be his greatest work so i'm going to spend a long time on this to get all the subtleties in it.

Your work's really impressive. You definitely got a hand to illustrate "reality". I only think, in your last piece, there's something wrong with the chest of the upper fighter. It looks too huge for the rest of his body-

Your quite the talented artist. How ever in the girl, the eye itself seems a little odd. definitely have an old master-type style in the last one.

First time I've seen your stuff. Those apples are amazing and the girl is ace too.
Your painting technique looks amazing, love to see more.

One thing with the girl in blue though, her feet, or rather her trainers look a bit odd and not very 'real'. Maybe study some shoes or something. I noticed it as I always had trouble with shoes but then realised it was due to me never referencing and so was guessing most of them.
